George tried to remember anything that happened the night before. All he could remember was being exhausted and falling asleep in Clay's bed. He didn't know about them cuddling. If he did he would've probably freaked out, to be honest he was freaking out just thinking about the situation.

Clay tried to act normal throughout everything, apologizing for the cuddling. He couldn't remember what happened the night before either. George seemed to be cool with it thank god, and they talked normally for another hour before George went home.

It was silent in Clay's house. His mom hasn't been home in a few days, but it's nothing unusual. It's usually only Clay and his sister, Drista. He takes care of her most of the time, which he's fine with. But Drista spent the night at a friend's house, so it was literally just him and George.

He smiled at the thought of George. Why was he making him smile? It weirded Clay out completely.

He started to think about the reasons he could feel like this. Maybe he just really valued their friendship and thought he was a good person. Or maybe it was more than that.

Clay's had only two girlfriends his whole life, and the most recent one was freshman year which was three years ago. He hasn't actually felt the same about another girl since, and he wasn't even sure he loved either one of the girls. He didn't really know what love was if he was being honest.

Maybe he was gay?

No, that can't be. Clay physically shook his head at this thought. He was known for having girls around him constantly, even if he had no interest in any of them. And every single time he had a girl around him that was interested, he just treated them like a friend.

But maybe he has possible interest in George.

With George, it was a lot different. He was so sweet and so pretty. He wanted to spend as much time with him as possible, and when he left it felt empty. It was such a weird feeling, it felt exciting but terrifying at the same time.

He wanted everything with George.

This couldn't be. Even if Clay wasn't straight, George was. Clay couldn't possibly date a boy, no matter how much he liked him.

His dad would beat his ass, and he would never be accepted. He couldn't go through another one of his dad's beatings. Clay had to snap out of this. This was just wrong for him to think about, it wasn't okay at all. Especially whenever he just knew George would barf if he knew what Clay was thinking about him.

Clay got in his car and drove to the beach to distract himself. It was his second favorite place in the world.

He laid down in the sand and closed his eyes. The beach takes his mind off things that seem important; before every exam he's taken he's came to the beach to clear his mind.

Walking along the beach was two men, holding hands. They both looked incredibly happy; as if they seemed to have not one worry in the world.

Clay wanted what they had so badly, whether it was with a girl or a boy. He imagined him and George, walking hand in hand on the beach.

That's when he slowly drifted to sleep, with George still on his mind. He was imagining George in his arms, on the beach. That thought made him happy but scared.

George on the other hand was grinning from ear to ear. He was so shocked that happened, and he wanted it to happen again.

"No, it cannot happen again," George said to himself.

He was in his room, blaring music. He couldn't get his mind off Clay. He didn't know why, but he wouldn't leave his mind.

George knew that he liked Clay by this point, at least a little bit. But he knew Clay could never like him back. He just likes him as a friend, that's it. That's all George will ever be to Clay.
