A/N: I'm just gonna say four things:
1. I need to find a way to turn off comments... 👀
2. You should read "Dear Luke and Leia" before this for context.
3. This happens seven years after "Dear Luke and Leia."
4. emmycristina_ this is what I've been planning when you asked me that day...***
Anakin Skywalker, the infamous Hero Without Fear. His facade was gone, shattered. As he knelt down at his wife's side, he took her hand in his.
Her hand -- Padmé's hand -- was cold.
His other half- gone. Ahsoka, gone.
How was he going to tell the twins? They were only seven.
But things like these were hard to conceal, even more so when one tries to move on. It would only be a matter of time before Luke and Leia felt the fissure in the Force.
"Daddy?" a two-part chorus floated into his ears.
Anakin turns around, eyes shining with unshed tears, and raw, unspoken pain.
"Is Mummy going to get better?" Luke whispered as he pulled at his father's hand.
"I-"
"Will she come and play with us someday?" Leia added, looking up at Anakin with hopeful eyes. Her hazelnut eyes shone with hope, with innocence. Anakin couldn't bear to shatter them.
How could he? How could he tell them that their mother was gone? How could he tell them that she wasn't going to wake up?
"... daddy? Are you okay?"
Anakin didn't realize he had tears freefalling down his cheeks. As he looked down upon his children, he knew he had to tell them. They were the only thing he had left of his angel.
Thus, a flowing melody reappeared in his mind from seven years ago.
"Dear Luke and Leia, how to say to you? Sometime last night, your mother breathed your names. And like a flame, that flickers out too soon, she died, she's... gone."
He brought Luke and Leia into a tight embrace as he continued to sing. "She dedicated every day to you. She changed my life; she made my life worthwhile. And when you smile... I know a part of her lives on. I know I can go on."
He felt droplets of water splash onto his robes.
"You have come of age with our Republic. We bleed and fight for you, sometimes it seems that's all we do. And you and I will build a strong foundation, and I'll be here for you. The way is clear for you, to blow us all away."
And far above, in the Force, a lovely lady with dazzling brown hair and expressive eyes appeared with a soft smile on her face. Padmé Amidala-Skywalker gazed down at her family lovingly, sympathetic as she watched them grieve. She was proud of her Ani for being a good role model. Although none of them could hear her, she sang along to the tune she and Anakin had created together long ago.
"Some day, some day. Blow us all away, someday. Some day, someday..."
Beside her, a teenaged Togruta appeared also, leaning against the woman she'd come to see as a mother. Ahsoka Tano added her voice to the choir, reminiscing the olden days.
"Blow us all away, someday, someday.
As if by magic, the remaining three Skywalkers peered up to where Padmé and Ahsoka stood, watching over them.
"Oooh. Some day, blow us all away. Someday..."
And as the final notes of the song faded away, Anakin pointed towards the sky as he remarked softly, "Luke, Leia, look. Auntie 'Soka and Mummy are with us again."

A/N: hey guys! Did y'all like this new chapter? I tried a new style by hitting you with angst first, then making it up with some fluff. Also true story: the first time I heard this song, I couldn't sing it without wanting to cry because it's so beautiful and painful at the same time. Anyways, I finished writing this while I'm supposed to be doing math. I gotta go before I get caught. Good night!
