Remembering means Annihilation

Everywhere around I find you there

Within both my reality and mind

Close my eyes, I do not dare

Memories begin to rewind

Stop these images from playing

Burn out the ember that remains

Keep this heart from decaying

Have the lovesick beast choke in chains

Reminiscing will annihilate me

Love is like the gravity that crushes my soul

It's the monster that I desperately flee

I fight for my sanity that it stole

The rising of the struggling sun

Will soon be the mark of the battle won

For if I end up losing myself to this

I fear there'll be no coming back from the abyss
