Love is the ever-changing pool of images that ripple in my dream
And, like a dream, it becomes fathomless
Filled with nothing but a light sensation
Love and logic cannot work as a team
Love instead seems young and ageless
Immortal to time and death
For this Love cannot fade
No matter how many times I try to kill it away
This ghostly Hope haunts my mind
Making me believe that this Love can truly be
Can really become my reality
But I soon find myself whispering
Convincing myself that this dream is nothing more than a delusion
It has become an incubus
This nightmare spreads its claws towards my heart
It's ready to just pull it apart
Since I know I'm dreaming, then why continue to dream
When I know it's not real
And even though I try to wake from this slumber
I find myself not wanting to
My heart keeps going back to that ghostly Hope
Waiting for the chance to set the love free from its cage
And letting it go wild like the beast it has grown to be
