The thunderstorm has now begun overhead

The lightning strikes and you become into a deer

Frightened, you go off on your own without a trace

And I now watch as you walk down your path of sadness

I yell out as you walk further ahead

But you don't stop, I can't be heard

The thunder's roar is what's between me and your ear

You can't hear a word I say to you

You can't hear the advice I have to offer

All you do now is walk along the path of sadness

You continue to walk while being drenched

Drenched by the painful tears that descend down on you

As each drop touches you it reminds you of the damage that your heart is going through

You shudder as you become cold

But I won't let you fall, I won't allow it

When the lightning strikes I'll be by your side to reassure you that everything is going to be alright

When the thunder roars I won't struggle to be heard; I'll just listen and wait for my turn to speak

When the rain pours down I'll shield you with my umbrella

For pain is not so painful when you share it with someone

Share it and that someone can turn the pain into happiness

Moreover, if you get cold I'll give my hug to you

Sharing the warmth I have so you won't freeze in melancholy

So now I'll walk along this path only if you'll accept my hand

Take it and walk back with me to the sun's light

It might take awhile but I won't abandon you now

Not now and not ever

I'll always be there

Waiting for the day that you'll come back to us

I can't wait to see you shining out of your cloud of misery

Because I miss having the real you around
