Hi, loves!

I wanted to pop on for a moment to not only thank you for continuing to read and show love for this story, but to also give a song recommendation!

While writing this, I have had The King by Sarah Kinsely playing on repeat!

This song just awakens something in me that I can barely put into words, and I hope it does the same for you!

Again, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the love you give to this story!

You all make writing fun again!

Lots of love,

Hannah ❤️

Your eyelids drifted closed as you relished the warmth of the mid-Spring afternoon sun dancing across your skin, the sound of the city almost drifting away. Surprisingly, Central Park was rather empty, despite it being a weekend. You felt a rather large finger tracing over the soft skin of your thigh, what was once covered by your sundress, now exposed.

"You have absolutely no qualms about PDA, do you?" you asked, smirking to yourself. Kylo's head rested on your stomach, his fingers light as a feather against your skin as you both basked in the sun. You could almost envision how he looked right now, dragging the pad of his index finger across your thigh, drawing invisible shapes into your skin, jet black waves creating a halo across your stomach. He was an artist's dream.

He's your dream, you thought to yourself.

"Simply letting everyone in New York know that you're mine, Princess." he mumbled, leaning over to brush his lips across the part of your thigh he'd been gently caressing, his breath sending a cascade of shivers down your spine from the hypersensitivity of the skin.

You simply giggled, reaching your hand to comb through his hair once he laid his head back down on your abdomen, a hum of approval coaxed from his lips by your fingers.

Kylo had proposed a day out together on your last day off, taking in the city after you had slowly started to pick yourself back up from the loss of Doctor Perkins. Though you hadn't fully recovered from the blow, you had come to a point of basic functioning again, welcoming any type of distraction from the deep, dark cavern of your thoughts.

After a morning of lazily making out and pillow talk, you both dressed and headed to a small café, giggling and shamelessly flirting over steaming cups of coffee and gourmet brunch foods. As you waited for your food, you would catch Kylo staring at you out of the corner of your eye, almost as if in awe of you, as you watched the people walk by.

Once you both were pleasantly filled with food, you walked hand in hand through the New York streets, whispering back and forth about the lives you thought people lived as they passed you, making up your own stories as to where they were headed or where they had just come from. Before you both had made it to Central Park, you were stopped by an elderly couple, their arms filled to the brim with beautiful flowers.

"Excuse us, but we are on a mission to give a flower to young people that remind us of how we were in our youth, to remind people that life is too short. For you, miss." The elderly man said, holding out a daisy to you, a smile on his face. You could feel your heart leap within your rib cage, almost overcome with emotion.

From the apartment building you were in front of, you could hear an upbeat, happy song drifting through the open window. You looked to Kylo, leaning onto your tiptoes to whisper in his ear. As he contemplated your request, you bit your lip, hoping your idea didn't sound stupid. Once he nodded, a smile erupted on your face, as you both grabbed the flowers from their arms, resting them gently on the steps of the building, holding your hands out for them to join you in a dance.
