After managing to buy a few gifts for my friends, Hailey and I head home. Of course, I didn't tell Hailey which one was her gift and when I did buy it, she was in the bathroom so she didn't even see me buying the jewelry. Scott was asleep at the back since he ranted until his mouth became tired and dry. I, for one, would also like to crash down on my bed and hug the pillows. But I can't since I'm driving now because Hailey was also tired and asleep beside me.

When I turned into the street of my house, my phone rang. I pressed the speaker button in order to avoid accidents. "Who's calling?"

"Dylan, I was wondering if I could come by and visit Scott."

"That's it? You're only coming by to see Scott and not me - your precious friend? I'm hurt." I joked.

I could feel him roll his eyes on the other line. "Yes because I miss Scott and not you since I see your face everyday, bye." He hung up just as I parked in our garage. Hailey woke up as I carried Scott and grabbed his teddy bear from the second row. I noticed my parents' other car was already in the garage so that means their home.

"Mom, dad, Aunt Marie, we're home." I called as we walked in.

"So how was Christmas shopping?" Mom asked as she removed the bobby pins from her hair.

I shrugged. "I found some gifts for my friends. By the way, Dylan's coming over....is it fine? He wants to see Scott again."

Aunt Marie chuckled at this and was about to answer when Scott woke up in my arms. "Dylan? He's coming? Yes!" He jumped down and started to run up the stairs.

"Are Scott and Dylan in a secret relationship that we are not fully aware of?" Aunt Marie joked although I'm sure she's glad with Dylan coming over to play with Scott.

"Maybe..." I smiled and made my way to bring my bags upstairs with Hailey trailing behind me with her own.

I put down my bags on the bedroom floor when Hailey crashed on her bed and fell asleep once her head hit the pillow. I checked the clock and was surprised when it was already 9:30 on my clock. Time moves fast when your having fun. Someone knocked on my door and I heard dad telling me that their calling it a day so Dylan can stay as long as we wish. They grew fond of him so fast.

"We played in the pool and we had a chicken fight but I lost since I'm small but anyway I thought he was a monster because he's super duper tall - I had a dream of him being a giraffe once - and then he asked me if he could carry me on his back so I was taller than him and we tried to attack Steph and Hailey but we failed and that's when we went to the pool did I mention the pool part already mommy? Anyway, after that I fell asleep then someone brought me upstairs . . ." Scott's voice became distant as it traveled from the stairs till it reached his and Aunt Marie's room.

I lie down on the bed and turned on the speaker beside me bed to let it play some music but I lowered the volume to let Hailey sleep in peace. I yawned and decided to close my eyes so that they could rest for the meantime. My mind started to feel hazy and I was suddenly in school with everyone just walking pass me, minding their own business. I rubbed my eyes as I cleared my vision at the image in front of me.

Hailey was shoving her tongue down Dylan's throat by one of the lockers.

My stomach churned as I saw the scene in front of me and I retched then Hailey pulled away from Dylan and laughed at my face before returning to her original task. I felt a pang of hurt, jealousy, sadness but most of all, anger. I wanted to run up to her and shove her head into the locker they were leaning on but then the entire school started to rumble.

Earthquake!

I tried to look everywhere for a place to hide under but the halls were empty with no one around left but me. A piece from the ceiling started to fall all around the place and I ran towards the nearest exit. I reached for the doorknob when something hit me in the head and my vision went black.
