"Shit!" I shrieked.
He quickly held onto my arms to prevent my face from plummeting the ice below us. "Jesus, Steph! Why do you have to be so clumsy?" Dylan joked.
I glared at him. "For the record, this is the worst date of my life."
Obviously I was just joking, this was honestly better than any other date that Austin ever brought me to. Austin was more of a cliche kind-of-guy, with his movies and dinners. It's not like I'm saying that I don't appreciate his dates, I do, it's just that.....been there done that.
Dylan has been trying to teach me how to ice skate since an hour ago, thankfully, I haven't tripped over the ice yet. Dylan told me to wear something comfortable, he didn't say warm. So now, I'm literally freezing my ass off in this ice rink, thank god, Dylan let me wear his jacket a few minutes after we started.
"Aw, don't worry Steph, this is just the first half of the date." He sent me a wink and a grin before focusing back on my feet.
I held onto the edge of the rink, Dylan's skating backwards as he guides me around the rink. "Dylan, can we take a break first? My feet are tired." I sighed, gripping onto his upper arms for support.
He rolled his eyes playfully. "Okay, we'll just return the skates and stay in the coffee shop for a while, sounds good?"
I nodded and smiled. "Sounds great."
Dylan wrapped an arm around my shoulders and started guiding me towards the same way we entered, there were groups of kids, lingering by the entrance, testing to see if they'll fall once they step on the ice. I giggled at their faces as they slowly changed from fear to surprise to anger at the ice. Many of them were holding onto the side, while the others were clinging onto their friends.
"You're no different from them, princess." Dylan chuckled beside me as we sat down.
"Their faces are just cute when they're scared of the ice."
"Like I said, you're no different from them." He grinned before taking off both our shoes. "I'm gonna go return these while you put on your shoes." He gave me peck on the lips before leaving.
I blushed, not because of Dylan kissing my lips, but because he indirectly just called me cute. It's been a month since we've been together and everything's been perfect...he's perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better boyfriend than Dylan, everybody loves him, hell, my parents love him so much, they let him sleep over in my room.
With the door closed.
Even Mom didn't approve of Austin sleeping in my room with the door closed, and she's already friends with his parents.
We've had our playful fights over small things and ended up cuddling in my room or in the living room, our habit of making bets continued, although normally the prizes are food, even though in the end, we both get a piece. Sometimes, we have more serious fights that last for at least a few hours, our longest one was a day. Although, in the end, I'm thankful neither of us are planning to let go of each other no matter what.
I tied my shoelaces and started to stand up just as Dylan came back, remembering this past month, brought a huge smile on my face as I saw him. "What are you so smiley about?" He asked with a hint of amusement as he grabbed my hand.
I shrugged. "Nothing."
"Doesn't seem like nothing, princess." He said teasingly as we entered the coffee shop.
"I've just been thinking..." I trailed off as he told the lady at the cashier our orders, we've been to enough coffee shops for Dylan to know what's my order, unless it's Starbucks then I'm going to have a different order every time.
