The next month passed by really quickly, after prom, nothing much happened except for the fact that Dylan and I are together now. As predicted, we were the talk of school the next week. Obviously everyone saw what happened during prom so it's no rumor.

Dylan went through the 'meet the parents' thing every boyfriend has to go through, you would not believe my surprise when my parents were thrilled when they found out we were dating. I thought they'd be mad-infuriated even-that I'm dating someone they'd mistaken as a delinquent. They told me that deep down, they knew we'd eventually end up together because--surprise surprise--Dad used to have his time behind bars when he was Dylan's age before he dated Mom so Dad expected this kind of thing to run in the family.

Dylan ended up getting a scholarship in a university an hour away from home in the north side of town, while I got accepted in a university on the south side twenty minutes away. We eventually told my parents about Dylan's scholarship and the fact that he has no parental supervision. My parents offered to pay for Dalton's, but Dylan politely refused.

Dylan hasn't had any recent panic attacks and his father never paid another visit, but his recent attack still makes me worry but he told me it's nothing.

It didn't feel as if a month has passed because I may have been preoccupied most of the time. Next thing we knew, it was the day before graduation, I was hanging out with my girl friends in my room.

Not much interesting stuff happened, Hailey ended up getting accepted into a university near her home, which meant she'll be going back home a week after the summer starts. Turns out, she didn't really breakup with her boyfriend which irked me a bit that she would lie to me but I know it was part of the plan. We may have ended the year with a lot of mixed feelings, problems and misfortunes, but I have to also thank her, I'll miss her, I'll admit. If it weren't for me, I wouldn't have the confidence to admit to Dylan that I fell for him, if it weren't for her, Dylan wouldn't have did the plan which made me angry thus making me not give a fuck if I told him the truth or not.

I'll miss my cousin, she made this the most memorable year of my life.

El got accepted into a college an hour drive away from her house so she'll buy a apartment closer to her school. The big thing that happened after prom was that El and Matt started dating.

I know, we got surprised too.

Eventually, Matt admitted that he started having feelings for El for like a month before prom and so he confessed on the night of the prom, we found out about it the day after prom. I guess Matt and Dylan are meant to be bestfriends, they both confessed to another pair of bestfriends on the same night.

It's true that great minds think alike.

I didn't really take Matt seriously when he told us, I know I probably sound like a terrible friend but, c'mon, I never really pegged him as someone who would stay in a serious relationship.

Although I did notice he stopped sleeping around the moment we became friends. Actually, I never really bother to ask if Matt was sleeping with anyone after we met. But Tyler assured me that if Matt ever breaks El's heart, he'll tell me firsthand.

Wait, let me rephrase that; he'll punch Matt then tell me.

El sat on the floor of my room and took a deep breath. "I can't believe it's graduation tomorrow, I mean, it felt as if our year just started."
