Cold Stone opens at 7 in the morning and it's Sunday so there's lots of kids in the shop at 8 except for a few kids with their parents that probably came from the park across the street.
Due to the few amount of people in the shop, I was able to spot a certain shade of light brown hair at the corner of the shop.
I slid into the booth as Austin ate his ice cream.
"Hey." I greeted as I hid my phone into my pocket.
Austin looked up from his ice cream and gave me a smile smile "Hey."
"So..What's up?" I asked trying to sound casual on the outside, while on the inside, I was anxious to know why we need to talk even though I know what its about.
"Are you...going to Dylan's party?" He asked.
I shifted uncomfortably in my seat "Umm..Yeah, why?"
Austin sighed, "Steph, can you stay away from him?"
I raised my eyebrows when he said those words. "Why would I stay away from Dylan? He's not a bad influence, even if he is, what gives you the right to tell me to stay away from him!?" I snapped which made Austin flinch. Other parents looked at our table but I ignored them.
He looked down at his ice cream "Its... hard to explain."
"Then try." I calmly said.
Austin continued to look at his dessert, "Dylan he's-he..." He paused and looked at me in the eye. "He's just unstable."
I raised an eyebrow. "Unstable?"
"He may loose control sometimes."
I furrowed my eyebrows. "Like Hulk?"
Austin sighed, "Not really, Dylan is just someone..with a terrible past which made him have anger issues."
"Anger issues? Like what exactly."
"Whenever he's mad, he just punches something to take out his anger." He explained, sounding a bit tired.
I knew Dylan likes to fight ans is sometimes hot-headed and like Tyler said 'He solves it with his fist.' but I never knew that it was because of something in the past.
"How do you know about this?" I asked him.
"My parents are friends with his." He said simply. "Just stay away from him Steph, please."
I stared at Austin and shook my head without thinking twice, "No, I don't care if he has anger issues or any of those crap. Why should I listen to you anyway?" I said coldly.
"Steph, he might hurt you or even send you to the ER and I don't want that to happen." He reasoned.
I stood up, anger starting to boil inside me, "He might try to hurt me? Try looking at yourself in the mirror and say that crap again! You were the one who hurt me when you broke up with me, that's why I don't trust you Austin. Never!" I shouted.
He also stood up, "Steph, I know what I did was wrong and I'm sor-"
"Sorry!?" I cut him off. "Saying sorry isn't going to cut it off Austin! Giving me your damn reason for breaking up with me , just think that I could ever forgive you!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. Austin placed both of his hands on my shoulders but I pulled away from his grip. "Don't touch me, you piece of bulls**t," I said angrily. He dropped his hands on the side.
