"wake the fuck up deryah!"

stepping into their cabin, the six teenagers put their bags away before they continued to converse. "it's weird, don't you think?" onyx started. "i mean we're not even seventh years yet, it's so sudden. first uniforms, now this? i mean i don't mind the skirts only rule, gives me more chances to show what i got."onyx teased, earning a small nudge and smile from luna.
"i definitely stand behind the skirts only rule; for obvious reasons." deryah agreed, smiling as she leaned forward to high five onyx. "i've got to show off what mum gave me" she winked. sitting back, she realized that her previous comment had earned her cold glares from the boys. she only rolled her eyes and cleared her throat before speaking again.
"but anyways, it makes a little bit of sense to me. there is an extra large number of seventh years graduating this year, so the rooms are really starting to clear up now, even though the year isn't done." deryah responded as she continued to read her book. "i mean look at it like this, we'll be able to have our own creative space to do whatever we want-"
"-but still, i'll miss sharing a room with pansy. don't you agree pans?" onyx interrupted, calling out to an occupied pansy.
she looked back from the trolley and nodded, smiling happily as she continued to gaze at all of the delicious treats as she tried to decide on which ones to pick. deryah and onyx only smiled at her, giggling softly, before continuing their conversation. "personally, it doesn't bother me either way. it's not like i won't be able to see you all anymore, you'll be down the hall."
"yeah, you're right. i'll let it go."
after pansy came back with snacks and treats for everyone, they all conversed and laughed as they enjoyed the ride back to school, somewhat dreading the upcoming tests they knew were soon to be piled on.

opening the door to her new dorm room, deryah began to actually realize how weird it would feel to sleep in a room alone after doing it for so many years. sure, she had her own room at home, but even before she attended hogwarts, she had gone to muggle boarding school where she shared a room with multiple girls.
shaking off the funny feeling, she placed her bag on the floor as she let her eyes scan the room. the mattress was much bigger, the wardrobe seemed taller and more spacious, and there was now a desk along with two wide nightstands. besides that, the room held a lot of empty space that deryah was sure she'd figure out how to fill.
unpacking her luggage from her shared room and winter break, she placed the pictures that they took and taped them to the wall and pinned one on her four poster. she hung up the many dresses they had bought her and all the other things they had shared together. last but not least, she pulled two books from the bottom of her trunk and placed them on her desk. she began to recall the interaction that happened between the two, representing the significance and meaning behind the book.
"so why do you like muggle fiction so much? the way they describe our world is completely inaccurate for the most part."
"it's not really about the way they describe us or the details, it's about the love story for me. for example, the way the two main characters can go from hating each other with every bone in their bodies, to loving each other with every passing thought so quickly; it's inevitable."
