It's a beautiful Sunday morning. The year is 2017. I, Dhruv Singh, who is living in a hostel, is called by my house-master. I am an orator who is supposed to anchor in the Annual Cultural Fest of our school. My co-anchor is Annandi.

Annandi is a beautiful, adorable girl of 13 yet much mature as compared to girls of her age. She is tall, and has a typical Indian-Complexion.

My house master, Mr. Amit called me. He said, "Dhruv you are a good speaker. An interschool-cultural fest is coming. Will you anchor the competition?" I said 'Yes' none did I know that this was the changing moment of my life.

Soon I and Annandi stated practising for the fest. We had a week's time.

There was a word in the script, 'EXTRAVAGANZA' which I could not pronounce. It was Annandi who helped me by splitting the word into 'Extra' and 'Vaganza'. Those were the days we started talking.

We went for a round-around the campus, cracked jokes (many of them lame), and enjoyed until the grand event arrived.

We were fully geared up for our anchoring. Before execution, we practiced, correcting each other's mistakes. In the hustle and bustle and lot of load Annandi and I, were taking things with ease. We stepped on the podium, in our school uniforms still comprising charm and glamour. Annandi was elated. She is very active in taking part in activities like these. A few moments before commemoration, our heart beats rose- Annandi's as she was nervous and mine as I was falling for someone. I held Annandi's hand and asked her to calm down. Annandi was ready and she begun.

The 'Extravaganza' para struck and I recalled how Annandi explained it to me. With zeal and enthusiasm we anchored. Everything went with ease. Everyone praised Annandi and me for our orating skills.

But with this the distance between Annandi and me increased. We rarely had a talk with each other. It was just the weekly debate classes, where we used to talk, that to just about debate.

Meanwhile, my classmates were teasing me for there were very few girls in the school. So if a boy and girl talk to each other it is assumed that the boy and girl love each other. I showed that I did not love her, but deep inside I did have feelings for her. I tried to contact her, but felt shy. The whole year passed with me just gaping at Annandi for the whole tenneur. I got to know she has a boy-friend. I was broke, but was strong too. I never let anyone notice the speck of the dirt that I did love Annandi. Our lives resumed. Even I had shifted my focus from Annandi to my studies, sports and debate.

My first debate was in January 2018, in Indore, Stewart School. I had already become famous as a writer and orator. Debate was a golden-feather to my cap. But something happened which I had never expected.
