Struck

We know when we are on the right track, only if we encounter a lot of problems. The same happened over here.

There were people who were jealous of our group (including teachers). The most shocking opposition was done by Rohit and My house-master, Mr.Pratyush. He was turning out to be a villan within us.

He first tried to manipulate me to not stay with Rohit, Priya and Anushka. He threatened me to complain to my parents. He said, "Your parents trust me so blindly, that even if I lie to them, your parents would believe me..." I was astonished. I never expected him to be like this. A great fear rose in my heart, that he (Mr.Pratyush) would manipulate my parents and that was on verge of occurrence.

My parents were already worried, because I was weak in the so called important subjects (Maths and Science) and after this complaint...

I, Viraj and Rohit sat down to study. We decided to study hard and secure our future.

We started with S.S.T. I finished 1 chapter of economics in less than 20 minutes. I was amazed at my speed. I started believing in myself. Well, Maths and Science was a different case, but still I tried to do it. And amidst this, stood in a queue- love, friendship and joy. The next day, in the evening, Annandi had her dance practice. Priya, Anushka, Rohit, Viraj and I also reached there.

I was awe-struck, watching Annandi dance. She looked so beautiful. My heart-beats rose as soon as Annandi's feet started thumping the sage along with melodious chorus. Though in school uniform, she looked marvellous. A blue shirt, black skirt and black shoes. She may look very absurd, but if you truly love someone, no matter what they wear, how they look, which caste they belong, it shouldn't matter. They are all just mere barricades, which are bound to come in every relationship.

Suddenly, I looked up and found that Annandi was looking at me. There was a pause. In one's eyes there was a plea and in the other- fiery ice. Her one look- and I melted. Her adorable eyes, her beautiful face, her glossy lips and her soulful heart. What better could I desire from god? I was elated, thrilled and fell in love every second I saw her. I was so lost in her eyes, that Anushka had to literally shake me to bring me back in the conscious world.

Gaining consciousness, I thought 'Wow! Never felt so lost before this.' I watched her dance. I was talking to Anushka and Rohit, while Annandi was chatting with Shubhangi. I told Anushka what happened. Anushka pats my back and said, "It happens!" We both smiled at each other.

Anushka and I were sitting together, talking about what to do after leaving school. Anushka was leaving the following year. I decided to continue till 12th. We promised that we all will meet every year at the school's Annual Alumini Meet.

We had so many memories to cherish. I was wondering 'When will we meet again?' 'How would we spend our lives?' We would go back to the memory lane, recalling those beautiful moments. With invisible tears, rolling down our cheek and a smile, we would say, "These are the guys with whom I have had the best days of my life..." All teenagers, we had build a bond which we desired to keep and cherish throught our lives.

I just had one wish- To have a photo, with each one of them, who made my life awesome in this beautiful hostel. I noticed that Anushka and I had started talking more than ever before. Everything was fine until rumours spread that, "Dhruv is trying to patch up with Anushka." "Dhruv and Rohit are flirting with Anushka and Priya." One guy even said, "Dhruv is a playboy. He loves Annandi as well as Anushka." And at that time stood someone which we never expected even in the wildest of our dreams- Shubhangi.

She slapped that boy and clarified that "Dhruv and Anushka are brother's and sister's." I stood awe-struck. Shubhangi came to me and said, "If you can take stand for your love, why can't I take a stand for a true and loyal lover..." I was left dumb-struck. A mixed emotion of joy and trust was liberated from my heart as Shubhangi said, "Bye!" and walked away. I never expected this to happen even in the wildest of my dreams.

Anushka was amazed. Her reaction was, "Ab isse kyaa hua?" I smiled and though- "Anything is possible with trust..."

At that very moment, I thought that if I am able to develop a trust in Shubhangi that I wouldn't harm Annandi, I would be able to win her heart. Slowly, I got to know more things about Annandi and her friends. Of course, I couldn't talk to them directly so, I tried various other sources like Priya and Anushka.

I wasn't in a hurry. I could wait for Annandi mywhole life, if it were sure that Annandi would return to me. Such a beautifulsoul, of course waiting for such a girl for even the whole life was worth it.How deep I fell for Annandi. How I wished for her happiness more than mine. Shetaught me to be selfless.
