Anyways, I was pretty determined, to repulse away from her, as much as I got attracted. I would try all possible methods, to get her thoughts eliminated from my mind. I know, it would be next to impossible, if I would feel, she is around me, o the first step I took is, imagining she doesn't exist. This got so realistic, that I almost dashed into her. My mind had accepted the fact, that Annandi was just my imagination and ignored it. I assumed, she is a super-natural power, trying to grab my attention. I made sure, 'there's nothing holdin' me back'.
It wasn't s difficult, as it seemed to me (To ignore Annandi). Probably, because she hurt me so much, that I wished I never fall for her again, that I wished I never met her...
I was disappointed with myself. I regretted my choice a lot. Anushka had warned me about her, but still I refused, to not love her. I was stupid, dumb, childish. I did tell this to Anushka, and pleaded for an apology. She texted me, "Bad choices make people better." I agreed with her statement.
We reached school. I got down and waited for Anushka, Rohit, Priya and Alishka. Soon, we all gathered and stood, gaping at each other. Anushka looks at Alishka and hugs her. She mutters, "Thank you Alishka, for always being with me..."
Soon, a tear rolls down her cheek. Alishka wipes her tears and says, "Aye, pagal hai kyaa?" (Are you mad?) I looked at Rohit. I patted him and said, "Chotu, I'll miss you a lot..." He replied, "Par mein nahi karunga..."
I looked at him and narrowed my eye-lids. He smiled and hugged me back.
As soon as we got our phones, we started taking each other's contacts. Many of us were probably meeting for the last time. My friends- Umar, Viraj, Suraj and Aditya were standing on the hostel gate. I met them. I took their contacts and fled to my room.
I quickly packed my luggage, undressed, wore my casual clothes and rushed to my house-master, to collect my phone.
I left my hostel, and went to take my gate ass. En-route, I crossed Annandi, Shubhangi. I saw Shubhangi, tapping Annandi and gesturing her to look at me. Shubhangi called me and asked, "Are you going now?" I said 'yes'.
Then she said, "Won't you meet Annandi, for the last time?" I looked at her (Annandi) and said, "No point falling for a witch's trick again and again..."
I said this and turned away. I don't know 'what expression crossed Annandi's face'. I didn't even want to know. All I know, I had taken a major hunk of Annandi's memories out of my heart. It still took me a week to delete her pics from my phone. Not because, they were too much. I just didn't have the heart to delete them. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
