Hi everyone! I hope you all are enjoying this story 😋... just want to say expect the unexpected after two to three chapters from now 👀😅💕

Noureen Aunty's P.O.V.
It finally clicked to me. It's as if after seeing them together yesterday and also meeting with Tariq, my eyes have been unclouded.
When I saw Tariq and I in Zahid and Mehwish, I realized I couldn't separate my daughter from the love of her life. I couldn't do to her what happened to me.
Zahid had come back for her, something Tariq would have never done. Yes, he visited me yesterday, but perhaps that was the last I will ever see him, who knows?
It's different between Tariq and I. Tariq never freed me from our relationship, but just by being with Zahid, Mehwish not only feels free, she gets all the peace in the world.
Zahid's truly and madly in love with her, it radiates from him.
What kind of a mother would I be if I take that away from her? Just because it was taken away from me?
"Ma, won't you say anything?" Mehwish asked nervously, interrupting my thoughts.
She looked up at Zahid, who was sitting next to her. He gave her a reassuring small smile.
I cleared my throat, "I've thought about it a lot... Zahid beta," Mehwish's eyes flickered, "I haven't seen Mehwish happier with anyone else but you. The way you take care of her, the way you love her, the way you put her first, promise me you will continue doing that after marriage too."
Javed was a very good boy and he cared deeply for Mehwish, but what Mehwish and Zahid have is different.
Mehwish's P.O.V.
Tears of joy flooded my eyes. We had been waiting for this moment for months.
Zahid took Ma's hands in his, "Aunty, I promise with my entire being. I love Mehwish a lot."
She smiled, "I know you do. But promise me," her voice turned somber when she slowly said, "you will never hurt her again."
"I promise," he didn't take even a second to respond.
I leaped out of my seat to hug her, "Thank you, Ma. Thank you so much."
"You crazy girl, are you trying to suffocate me?" she laughed.
Zahid stood behind me.
Ma reached out her hand and squeezed Zahid's while still hugging me, "There's no need to thank me, Mehwish. I know you will be in safe hands. I couldn't ask for anyone more loving for you than Zahid. My heart, a mother's heart, tells me, you two are made for each other. You guys are meant to be."
Zahid and I smiled at each other. Ma pulled away, "You two talk. I will go get some sweets to celebrate."
I jumped into Zahid's arms, my tears wetting his shirt collar.
"I'm so happy, my love," he hummed with his arms tight around me.
"Me too, jaan. I love you so much, you have no idea."
He pulled me back a bit so he could look at me, "I love you more."
I held his face when I saw tears forming in his eyes. We chuckled softly out of happiness.
I kissed his forehead as he whispered, "My wife."
We let go when Ma arrived with bowls of warm gulab jamun. As she handed us our bowls, the doorbell rang.
