Maiya's POV

Demi's birthday is in 4 days and I'm planning to tell her today. I already told Marissa so she knows what to pack. I hope Demi will like it. I'm just sitting here in bed looking at her as she sleeps. I feel like a creeper but she's beautiful.
"I can feel you staring at me," she commented.
"How? That's so weird. Your eyes are closed." I'm so confused.
"I don't know. I just get a feeling. Why are you up so early?" She asked as she yawned.
"Demi what are you talking about? Its almost noon." I giggled.
"Wait, what? And you let me just sleep?"
"Babe calm down. You've needed to rest. You've been working really hard." I sighed. I feel like she's overworking herself.
"Plus I want to tell you something." I told her as I wiggled my eyebrows.
"Oooohhhh what?? Please tell me." she pleaded.
"So I remembered something that you told me a little while ago. So I decided to put that knowledge to use." I started.
"Just spit it out!"
"I got tickets for us to go to Guatemala for your birthday." I said as I smiled.
"Are you serious? Oh my god. You're amazing. I love you so much. What did I ever do to deserve you?" she said as she planted kisses all over my face.
"I love you too babe. We leave in 2 days. So start packing because you take forever. But let's eat first. We'll figure out what we're gonna wear later." I told her as I kissed her forehead.

Demi insisted on going shopping to get more stuff to wear.
"Babe most of the clothes that we need to pack aren't going to be brand new. Unless you are going to just wear them there and then leave them for the orphanage." She always needs to shop.
"Maiya that's a good idea. We can buy some other clothes to donate to the babies and the orphanage." She smiled.
"So we aren't shopping for us?"
"I'll maybe pick up some other stuff like a different type of combat boots to get dirty." She said as she looked at me.
"Okay fine. I don't need any other shoes. But just make sure you have plenty of travel shampoo and conditioner because you'll have to wash your hair more often. And we need to pick up a bunch of our own water bottles. And maybe some bags of candy and toys for the kids." I told her as I thought of some stuff that they liked when I was there last.
"Umm okay let's get that stuff first and if we have time then we'll get my shoes." With that she left the shoe store.

Demi's POV

I'm so excited. I've always wanted to go to Guatemala but I didn't really know who to go with. I'm happy that Maiya is going with me since she knows the place. And I wanted Marissa to go with us. I wanted it to be a bit of a private trip. I texted Marissa all of the details, but she said that she already knew. We had to get Maiya's medicine for her allergies and we had to get pills for motion sickness and lots of vitamins to make sure we don't get sick. We have a ton of water and candy and food.
"Is there anything else that we need to get while we're out?" she always asks so many questions.
"Babe, chill a little. You're stressing. I know how you feel about this. I know how much this means to you but don't overwork yourself." I smiled at her.
"You're right. I'm just afraid that we're going to forget something and something is going to go wrong." She sighed.
"Come on so we can go home and pack. You need to rest." I grabbed her hand as she continued to drive.

(2 days later)
We are finally leaving today and I'm so excited. It's been a long two days.
"Babe don't forget to grab all of the medicine." I called to her. What's taking her so long to get down the stairs? I'm normally the last one. She told me that she was taking an extra suitcase for other stuff as well but she already had everything packed.
"Yeah Dems I'm coming. You have everything?" she said panting.
"Honey breathe. And yeah Max will be here with Marissa in five."

We are finally landing. I'm so excited. It's like 2pm here. We went to get our bags and stuff and headed out to find our little bus with some of the other people. It was a 2 hour drive to the place that we were staying, so Maiya, Marissa and i just talked and caught up on everything we have missed with each other. Maiya managed to get the hotels of the place. The three of us are all sharing a room since it has two queen sized beds, a twin sized bed, and a bunch bed. It was close to the top of a mini mountain. It was definitely bigger than a hill but a little smaller than a mountain.
