Everytime You Lie

Demi's POV
I was starting to worry cuz I feel like its been a while and Maiya wasn't back yet. So I unlocked the bathroom door and walked out to the bedroom. I could feel myself starting to cry when I saw the note. I wasn't sure I wanted to read it, but I figured it was what was best.
Demi,
Babe ill be back. I went to the store to pick up the stuff and to think a little bit. I love you,
Maiya

I'm freaking out right now. She didn't leave me. This makes me so happy. I'm still upset but at least I know she coming back, but when? It doesn't take this long to get the stuff from the store. I decided to text her.
Hey baby. I wanted to know when you would be home. You've been gone for a while.

Maiya's POV

No. This couldn't be happening. Not here not now.
"Maiya?" the lady asked.
"M-mom?" I was starting to stumble over my words. This is not a good sign.
Then she pulled me into a hug. I awkwardly hugged back.
"How have you been baby girl?" she asked me. I didn't like that she called me baby girl. Only Demi called me that. And I was not having this.
"Do you even care? You left me. You don't even know or care how I felt. You don't even know what happened after you left. All hell broke loose. And now you turn up after I'm satisfied with life and you want to come back into my life? No no. I'm not having that. I'm almost 21 mom. I have a month. Did you even remember that?"

She just stared at me. She looked hurt, angry, and confused at once. Then I started to see it I'm her eyes. The same look my dad got. I had to get out of here. I took out my phone. There was a text from Demi.
Hey baby. I wanted to know when you would be home. You've been gone for a while

I sighed. I may be mad at her but she's still my girlfriend.
"Listen. I have to go. I have somewhere to be. It was nice to see you again." I said it sincerely, but inside I was fuming. Then as I was about to turn away I saw a man walk up to her and kiss her. I turned back around slightly.

"Who is that?" I asked her.
"My husband." she answered.
"Nice to meet to sir" I said to him trying to be polite. He just grunted in response. Okkaaay then...
"Uuhhh bye now. Nice catching up with you." Then I turned to go, and she grabbed my arm again. I flinched out of fear. I turned around.
"I love you Maiya." she said. It was sincere but she had this evil gleam in her eye, just like the one my dad got when he was mad at me but around other people. I shuddered at the thought.
"I love you too. Have a nice one" I told her ad waved goodbye. And this time when I left she let me go.
"Who was that?" I heard the man ask.
"My disgrace of a daughter," she responded with an evil laugh, "I'll get her sooner or later."

I just hurried out of the store after I paid for everything. Luckily I got everything before I bumped into her.

Demi's POV

When I heard the lock being fumbled with I literally ran to the door. I felt so bad and I just wanted to apologize. Once she got in the door I just threw myself at her forgetting she'd have bags.
"Baby I'm so sorry. I love you so much. I shouldn't have thought so lowly of your love for me. I was just so scared that you would leave me. I'm so happy you came back I love you I'm so sorry," I said while planting kisses all over her face. Then I looked at her when she didn't respond.
She had a look of horror on her face. She was pale and started turning a greenish color.
"Umm set those down and let's get you to the bathroom." I said as we put the bags down and rushed to the bathroom. After leaning over the toilet and throwing up as I held her hair and rubbed her back for 15 minutes, she looked back and got up to wash her hands. She was avoiding eye contact with me. She's probably still mad.
"Babe, I'm gonna get you some food. Okay?"
"I'm not hungry," she said as she pushed past me. I grabbed her arm before she could get out of the door.
"Baby ple-"
"Demetria let me go. I'm not eating. I'm not hungry. I'm going to go lay down. LEAVE ME ALONE. LET. ME. GO!" She had pain in her eyes. I was kinda heartbroken. It wasn't me she was mad at. Something happened at the store. I want to ask her now but she needs to relax. I went to get the stuff from the store and pack it away in our stuff. Then after I went to the bedroom and found Maiya laying in bed on her side. She had the TV on but wasn't paying any attention to it. She had her attention facing away from me looking out of the window.
