"I'm... I'm sorry I didn't know.." He looked at me sternly, "Look let's just eat and get you home okay?" I nodded and ate my food. We walked out of the diner and back over to my house. "Where do you live? In fact, how did you know I lived here..?" He looked at me, "I live right beside you, you don't remember? I was in your biology class and I was always the kid getting hauled out of class." I looked at the ground, "Oh yeah now I remember. Why did you always get hauled off?" He looked at me and at the ground as if he was trying to forget something, "No reason, you should get home." I looked at him solemnly, "You sure you don't want to talk about it?" He looked back at me, faking a smile, "I'm sure." I nodded and walked home watching him walk across the street and into his huge oak and brick house. I looked at the huge dark oak door of my own house and sighed. I feel so empty here.. I thought to myself as I walked inside the rather eerie house. I hadn't really walked all the way in, when I smelt something, almost metallic. I ignored it and went upstairs, thinking that my brother, sister, and Jayson would see me tomorrow. I opened my door and smelt the metallic scent heavier now. I thought it was coming from my cut arm, and sure enough I went to my bathroom to see my arm, blood pouring out of it. I cleaned up and brushed my hair and teeth and laid down on my bed that I hadn't felt in forever... It was different from the hard metal beds in the ayslum. But it didn't bother me that much. I didn't mind the comfy bed after all, I did sleep in those hard ones for awhile. I woke up in the middle of the night with a huge bump that had sounded like it had come from my closet. What could that be...? I thought.
