Even after Edward's mental breakdown nothing could stop me from smiling as I walked into my first lesson.
History.
With Shrek.
The lesson starts at 9:00 but I'm a bit early so I wait at my desk for the lesson to start.
8:55...
Students start to come in and sit down chatting loudly to each other. I search desperately for Shrek in the crowd.
He's not there.
He's probably just late, I reason with myself.
8:59...
Where is Shrek??
9:00...
Miss Gray hurries in and sits down at her desk.
I bang my head on the table miserably. All I ever wanted was to see Shrek with blue hair, to see the results of the prank I spent hours planning and he doesn't even show up.... does he want me to be miserable?? I almost feel like walking out and crying in the toilets. Maybe other people saw him with blue hair but I wanted to-
The door bursts open. I jerk my head up.
Shrek stans in the open doorway and his skin.... his skin is blue. Think of the bluest thing you've ever seen... and then multiply it by 100 and that's not even how blue Shrek's skin was.
My heart fills with joy. He looks like an overgrown smurf. He looks horrible. No girl will ever like hi-
"Shrek you look so handsome!"
"Shrek MARRY ME!!"
"Will you love me if I turn my skin blue too?"
"SHREK I LOVE YOU"
What? I stare at the classroom in amazement. How can they still like him? His skin is blue!
I groan as Shrek walks over to me, ignoring everyone else. His eyes are bright with laughter.
"Hello Julia" he smirks.
I glare at him but his smirk just grows bigger.
"What do you think about my new skin?"
Just ignore him.
"Do you think it makes me look hot?"
Ignore.
He sighs. "Why are you ignoring me? Aren't you happy? Your prank worked"
"No it didn't! You were supposed to look ugly" i blurt out.
"Supposed to? Does that mean you think I look good?"
I glare at him again.
"I'm just joking" he smiles brightly at me. "I know that you think I'm beautiful"
"I do not"
"Yes you do"
"No I-"
"Class!" Miss Gray interrupts. "Be quiet please"
The room suddenly gets quiet. I focus on the teacher and try to ignore Shrek staring at me.
Its very hard though, to focus on the teacher when Shrek is staring at you the whole lesson. His brown eyes seem like they are looking straight into my soul. I hope I'm not blushing.
Halfway through the lesson, he leans over and whispers, "it was a good prank"
I smile. "I know"
