Better Than Onions

CHAPTE LR 21

The next day is Saturday so i finally get to have a rest. I relax in my room, preparing to do jothing all day when suddenly my sister bursts in.

"WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING" she says. "TAKE PIZI OUT"

"Nooo" I complain. "Why can't you do it?"

"I HAVE TO PRACTICE MY SHOOTING. HAVE A NICE WALK"

I sigh unhappily. My sister walks over to teh balcony and loads her gun up with small grapes. She then shoots some kids with the grapes.

I look for my dog, listening to the children crying in the background and humming, but for some reason i can't fine her anywhere. Then i get a flashlight and search under the stairs. She appears out of the darkness, wagging her tail. I sigh.

"Sister! You left Pizi under the stairs again!!" I yellZ

There is no answer. I am supposed to put a lead on her but i tried to strangle my sister with it last week so my mum banned it.

Oh well, I think walking out of the hosue. Hopefuly she won't get lost.

Something small whizzes in the air past my head and lands on the ground beside my feet. I look doen.

It's a bullet.

Suddenly I remember my meeting with Ed Sheeran a few nights ago ans his warning.

. You will be dead before the end if this year if you don't leave this town...

Despite the warm day, I feel myslef growing cold. I ws so busy with Shrek that i completely forgot about Ed. Is this what he meant? Will i die here, on a walk with my dog?

I hear another bullet flying through the air and i duck, covering my head, my heart pounding. But this bullet hits the ground and splatters juice on my face.

Oh no! Is it a new weapon developed by Ed Sherran?

Then i frown. That bullet looks like a-

Something hits my head again. I tune around and see my sister on the balcony aiming her gun at me.

"HA HA HA HA" she screams with laughterZ

"That's not funny!" I scream angrily at her. I grab a branch and throw it at her but she is too fart up. I wisj i had Edward's super strength.

I run into the forest before she can shoot me anymore but Pizi stays behind to eat the grapes.

"PIZI" I yell. "FOY"

Piziz looks at me sadly, her ears drooping.

"COME HERE"

She walks towards me sadly, her tail between her legs.

"Good gut" I don't have any dog treats so i reward her with a leaf and she eats it happily. Then suddenly i hear vouces.

"Pizi stay" I whisper angrily. Then i tiptoe near teh voices.

It is Edward... and Bella.

Anger rises up inside me. I really wish i had Edward's super strength now so i could hit hoth of them with a branch. Was this what Efward was 'so busy' doing on Friday when he promised to talk to me and tell me his secrets? Was he with Bella this whole time?

Their voices suddenly get quieter and i realise taht they've moved away. I walk towards them bjt then Edward turns around.

I fall on the floor.
