•Maya's POV•

Hotel Palace: Hotel Room

I took a deep breath while looking at my bridal wedding lengha. Today is the big day, the day where I go from Maya Singhania to Maya Malhotra. In two hours I would not only be a daughter and sister but will also be a daughter-in-law and importantly a wife, for the rest of my life. I would have to take care of new responsibilities along with new people. Today will be a new start to my life and I hope it will be full of love which I always craved for.

I put on the bridal lengha which mumma brought in this morning and gave to me with lots of love. It was a beautiful red lengha with lots of gold heavy embroidery on it. It was very heavy like I expected but I liked the feeling it gave me.

I heard the door knock and thought it was someone from Aditya's side but when I said 'come in', Janvi the beautician who did my engagement makeup and hair, walked in. "Hello beautiful bride!" Janvi said happily and started placing her makeup and hair tools on the dresser. "Hi Janvi" I said. "You are already looking gorgeous in the lengha, this makeup is just a formality." she said. "Now come sit, we have to get you ready. Your soon-to-be husband is probably dying to see his hot soon-to-be wife." Janvi said making me blush. 'Blush? Since when have you been blushing?'.

I sat down in front of the dresser, as Janvi told me to. "Sorry, but could you do the makeup light as possible?" I said, even though it's my wedding day I don't want to over do myself because I already have this heavy lengha. "Are you serious? It's your big day, and you again want it light? Damn girl, but you look hot already you don't even need this makeup." she said. "Light makeup coming your way!" Janvi said and started applying makeup on my face.

Janvi finished my makeup in 45 minutes, and like I asked for she did do it light and it looked very lovely. After the makeup she started with my hair. She did a bun and added lots and lots of pins in my hair. And for the finishing touch she added flowers on the bun, making it stand out more. "You are looking gorgeous! Now all I have to do is help you put on jewelry and pin your dupatta." Janvi said all excitedly. Janvi helped me wear all the jewelry mumma gave me this morning and some mother gave me. Even though I wanted to wear my anklets given by my best friend, but mumma brought in golden anklets and really wanted me to wear them. So not wanting to make her sad I wore them.

She pinned my dupatta on my head, like every bride does. "And ta-da!!" Janvi said making me stand up and look in the mirror.

I looked at myself in the mirror and I couldn't even recognize myself. It made me realize today was my day, the day I would be sent off into a new family.

"Now I need to zoom for my next appointment, but you bride, you need to be prepared to sit at the mandap. Good luck on your marriage life Maya, and hopefully we see each other soon. Bye, and congrats by the way." Janvi said hugging me and quickly left.

I was pacing around in my room, watching the clock go 'tick tock, tick tock, tick tock'. Only 30 minutes were left until I would be taken to the mandap and take the famous 7 pheras. I was nervous and stressed about my future, making me pace more and more.

While I was pacing, the door slammed open and walked in mother and father in their attires. I stopped in my tracks and looked down, not knowing what they were going to say. Mother grabbed my wrists tightly and said "Look there are only a few minutes left until you leave and go to the Malhotra's. Do not, do not ruin this and ever and I mean ever tell the Malhotra's your life in the past. We have made it this far and now we don't need you to ruin it. You get it!" My wrists were starting to hurt and any moment my tears would have spilled out, but before they could father said "Swetha! Leave her right now or else there will be marks on her wrists making the Malhotra's suspicious." Mother left my wrists quickly and gave me a dirty look.
