The sun is actually shining bright for once despite it being the second week of December. There are a few clouds lining the sky and it may only be about seven degrees Celsius but the conditions are pretty optimal for this championship game.

Louis isn't quite sure what to do with himself. He's currently warming up with the rest of his teammates but everyone seems too nervous to talk or joke around like they usually do before games. Louis feels like his whole body is shaking from anxiety, but he's captain and it's his responsibility to hype up the rest of the team.

He glances at the stands before rounding up his teammates, hoping that maybe the sight of his friends and family will give him the encouragement he needs in order to motivate his teammates. Everyone has their school pride stuff on so the stands are filled with navy and gold. The girls soccer team is there, all wearing their jerseys. Tessa is sitting with them but Ashton is behind her, along with Michael and Luke, so she's leaning against his legs in the bleachers.

His family sits a few rows up, his Mum took the weekend off so that she could be there which Louis feels probably more appreciative of than he should. They're all sitting together: his Mum, Mark, Lottie, Daisy, and Phoebe. He knows that it means nothing in terms of his parents getting back together but it's still nice to know that they're in a good enough place to actually want to spend time together and support their kids together.

Louis is about to turn back to the pitch, feeling much more confident now that he has spotted his family's smiling faces, when someone catches his eye. Harry is sitting with Niall, Liam, and Zayn and the second he sees that he's caught Louis' eye, he whoops and starts waving around the navy and gold pom-poms that he brought. He's wearing Louis' away jersey and it looks so fucking hot on him. It barely fits him, even though on Louis it's a baggy, sweaty mess. However, on Harry it's tight in all the right places...

Louis rolls his eyes fondly at the boy but inside he can feel the butterflies fluttering around in his stomach. Suddenly the game doesn't seem so scary anymore. He knows they can win. He knows they will win. Now it's just go time.

"Alright lads, listen up!" Louis yells out to his mates, stretching out his arms so that they can all huddle up.

"I know that you're all nervous but just remember this is what we've been working all year for. The sweat, the pain, the tears, --don't try to deny it-- this is what it all comes down to." Louis pauses, locking eyes with each of his teammates before continuing. "We've trained for months now, I know we have the skill and talent to win this game. We just need to believe it. Remember, the team that wins is the team that wants it more. Throughout the whole game. We can't let a goal or two discourage us, yeah? We've been through worse and we can get through worse. For some of us, this is our last college footie game. For all of us, this is our first championship game. The first time our school has made it to this point in who knows how fucking long. So let's go show that other team what we're made of! We've got nothing left to lose, yeah? Let's just leave everything we've fucking got out on that pitch!"

Louis looks at his boys once again, they're nodding in return, smiles creeping onto their faces as they start to get more hyped to play.

"Now are we ready to win!?"

"Yeah!"

"Louder!"

"YEAH!!!"

"That's more like it lads!" Louis smiles, putting his hand in and waiting for everyone to follow.

"Holmes Chapel on me! Holmes Chapel on three!" Louis chants. "One! Two! Three!"

"HOLMES CHAPEL!" They all yell in unison, tossing their hands into the air before running out onto the pitch.
