Chapter 2

I take off my eyepatch, placing it under my pillow because the last time I place it on the bedside table, someone tried to take it because they're curious why I cover my eye. I don't want to risk it again. I yawn softly and close my eyes. I let myself relax under the cover and let myself drift off to sleep.

-First Lesson-

Y/N P.O.V

I wake up in the morning, I know it's morning due to the sunlight. I reach under my pillow, grabbing my eyepatch and tie it around my head securely. I sit up and take a look around the room. The two other girls are still asleep. I move my body and place my feet on the floor. Then I get up, I grab all my necessities and head for the washroom.

I hang my clothes and walk towards the shower. I turn it on and adjust it to my desire heat. Then I step under it and relax as the feeling of hot water flow across my body. I wash my body thoroughly, making sure to clean every part properly.

After the shower I put on my clothes. For the first 2 weeks, I'll be spending it as a Slytherin. So I put on my Slytherin robe. 

Then I leave the common room and make my way to the dining hall for some breakfast. Normally, I would rather skip breakfast because the students would try to start a conversation with me. But I don't know... I feel kinda hungry.

In the dining hall, as soon as I enter the hall. I can feel every students eyes on me. I just take a quick glance at them, before averting my eye down. I take a seat randomly, not really caring which year I'm sitting with. It's still normally empty anyway. So I don't really have to worry about who's sitting with me. I just hope they won't annoy me.

The dining hall slowly filled with students. While I just sit there and eat silently. A boy around my age sits across from me, with 2 other boys sitting next to him. He have platinum blond hair, and in an instant I recognize him as the boy that told everyone to stay quiet.

"Hey" he said, looking at me with a smirk. I just nod my head, acknowledging his presence and continue to eat in silence.

"Look everyone! Ron just got himself a howler!" I hear someone said from across from me. I turn my head to see a boy holding a red envelope. I raise my eyebrow as I watch him open it. The envelope starts to spat angrily at the boy.

Apparently he stole his father's car, resulting him to get late for work. After the message is over, I can hear laughter coming from the students around me. This makes me let out an annoyed sigh. I roll my eyes, though my right eye is covered underneath my eyepatch. I just quickly finish my meal and stand up. I grab all of my belongings and make my way out of the Dining Hall.

I make my way to the classroom. Transfiguration will be the first lesson. I heard the one teaching this lesson will be Professor McGonagall.

I enter the classroom, and look around to see it's empty. So... pretty much I'm the first to be here. I let out a sigh and just choose a random place. It doesn't matter where I sat. Front or the back are the same to me.

I place my book on the table. I look forward to see a cat sitting on the Professor's desk. I just stare at the cat as it stares back at me. I have a feeling it's not a normal cat. Before I could observe any further, the door swung open and more students enters the class.

I feel presence next to me and turn my head to see the blond boy. He feels my gaze on him and turn to look at me. "I'm Malfoy... Draco Malfoy..." he said, outstretching his hand for a handshake. Even though I have no intention on making friends, I still don't wanna be labeled as a rude kid. So I just shake his hand.

A Malfoy, huh? My parents specifically told me to keep my distance from that family. I don't know why, they only told me that a Malfoy isn't a good people to hang around with. But this Malfoy boy doesn't look so much of a threat. Instead he looks... lonely.

I shake my head. 'No, Y/N... you're not here to make friends. You're here to learn magic. Then graduate, then say bye bye to this place...' I thought to myself. I don't wanna make friends and take a risk of growing attach to anyone. My past experienced in friendship isn't the best. In both previous schools, both end up the same way. Betrayal and fake friends.

Suddenly the door burst open. I turn my head to see 2 boys running inside. I furrow my eyebrow as I look at them.

"Don't mind them... they're just Potter and Weasley" I hear Malfoy said. I just hum softly and continue to watch the two boys. They seem exhausted, like they have run a marathon.

"Phew... that was so close..." the boy with black hair said. "Yeah... good thing Professor wasn't here yet..." the other boy said. I just smirk and turn to look at the cat on the desk. I was right, the cat is Professor McGonagall. She transform into her human form in front of the two boys, making them startled.

"You knew all along?" Malfoy asked me, noticing the smirk on my face. I nod my head, without saying a thing. Just because he helped me in the Dining Hall. That doesn't mean that I have to talk with him. He just stare at me, probably wondering why I'm not saying anything back.

I watch as Professor McGonagall scolds the two late comers. She told them to sit down and walk back to the desk. There's a bird on top of it. "Today... I'll be showing all of you how to turn this bird, into a mug" she said. She take out a wand and point it at the bird.

"1... 2... 3... Vera verto" she said. The bird instantly transform into a silver mug. She turns to look at us with a smile. We start clapping our hands in awe.

She walks towards the boy with red head. "Now why don't you try, Mr. Weasley?" She said. The boy look nervous. I just watch him, while placing my chin on my palm. The boy lift his wand, but I notice there's a bend on it... wrapped up in tape. I raise an eyebrow when I saw it. Did his wand broke or something.

But he take a deep breathe and points his wand at a mouse. "Reparifarge" he said.

Everyone burst out laughing, while I just stay silent. He's lucky the spell didn't backfired with a wand like that. When he use the spell on the mouse, I notice there's a flicker around where the wand broke. I just let out a sigh and turn away from the boy.

I know that one way or another, he's going to get himself hurt with a wand like that. I can already imagine all the trouble he would get. Even though I'm feeling a bit worried, I still keep in mind that I refuse to have any friend.
