I look down at Cedric as I hear a soft snore coming from his mouth. "I love you, Ced... I would never hurt you..." I said. A lone tear escape my eye. I wipe it away and try to stop myself from crying.

I love Cedric too much to hurt him...

-Returning to Hogwarts: Year 5-

Y/N P.O.V

Today we'll be going back to Hogwarts for our 5th year. Over the holidays I've purchase various kinds of scarfs. It will be a new addition to my fashion. I have no choice. I need to cover my cursed tattoo. I don't want other students starts questioning about it.

"Y/N! Are you ready?" I hear Cedric calling out for me as I make sure the scarf cover my neck properly. "I'm coming!" I said. I glance at the mirror one last time. Then I grab my luggage and walk out of the room. I take one last look around the room to make sure I leave nothing behind.

Cedric stands next to his father by the front door. He smiles when he sees me coming. "Ready to go?" He said. "Yeah..." I said, nodding my head. He smiles and turns to his father. "We'll be going now, dad..." he said. His father smiles at him and hugs him. I just smile as I watch their interaction.

Amos pulls away from his son and turns to look at me. "Be sure to owl me. You're already like my own child..." he said. "Thank you, Amos..." I said, looking at him with a soft smile. He smiles at me, and pulls me into a hug. I smile and hugs him back.

"Bye Amos..." I said, after we pull away. I turn my head to look at Cedric. "Shall we go?" He said. I nod my head, smiling at him. He gently holds my hand. I wave at Amos and we walks out of the house. We call for a cab and head to the King Cross Station.

Time-skip

We have reached the King Cross Station. I place my luggage in the trolley. Cedric walks next to me as we walk through the crowded place, trying to reach the specific platform.

Soon we finally made it there. "Ready?" Cedric said. I nod my head. Then I run through the wall, and we reach the platform 9 and 3/4. I turn to Cedric as he walks through as well.

"Were you nervous? Is that why you ran instead?" He said. I nod my head. "Yeah..." I said. He let out a chuckle. We give our tickets to the collector and get on the train.

"This one is empty, Ced..." I said. He nods his head and get inside. I lift my trunk and try to put it in the rack but it's too heavy.

"Here... let me..." Cedric said, lifting my trunk and place it into the rack. "Thank you..." I said, kissing his cheek softly. He smiles at me. Then he place his and take a seat next to me.

He wraps his arm around my shoulder. I scoot closer to his side and lean my head against his shoulder. "I wonder where the others are..." I said. "I'm sure they will be here soon. If not they'll meet us at school..." he said. I just nod my head and close my eyes.

"Tired?" He said. "Yeah..." I said. "Sleep..." he said. I just snuggle closer to him. I wince when the tattoo on my neck starts to ache a little. My hand went up to my neck on instinct.

"What's wrong?" Cedric said. "It hurts..." I said, still holding onto my neck. His eyes saddened. He take out his wand and put a silencing spell on the room.

"Let it out... don't hold it in..." he said. I didn't say a thing and start to scream. The pain is too much for me to handle. I know I said that I'm strong enough, but I'm not. The pain is unbearable. Soon I fall limp in Cedric's arms.

Cedric P.O.V

Y/N lose her consciousness and she fall limp in my arms. I burst into tears as I hold her close. It hurts me so much to see her in so much pain. But I can't do anything to free her from this stupid curse. She must be the one to take my life... or both of us will die.

"What can I do for you, Y/N? I can't stand seeing you like this..." I said, my voice cracked slightly. I start to cry as I hold onto her body. I place my face into her hair as I cry softly.

A While Later

Y/N P.O.V

I open my eyes. Cedric looks at me with sadness. I sit straighter, but he still keeps me in his arms. "How... are you feeling?" He said. "I'm okay..." I said. "Don't lie to me..." he said. "I'm not. I'm alright. Really... I am..." I said. He just looks away from me, clearly not convince. After all I've just been screaming painfully. I don't even know how long I've been out for.

"We almost reach Hogwarts..." Cedric said. "Okay..." I said, nodding my head. I reach for his hand. I can feel his hand shaking slightly. I frown and turn his face to look at me.

He have tears in his eyes. "Cedric..." I said. "I'm so sorry... it's all my fault..." he said. I shake my head and cup his cheeks softly. I wipe her tears gently. "I will be okay, Cedric. You don't have to worry about me..." I said. "I just hate seeing you in pain, Y/N" he said. "I'm stronger than this... I'll be fine..." I said. He lets out a sigh and pulls me into a hug. I just hug him back. He bury his face into the crook of my neck. I can feel his body shaking lightly. I just caress his back, trying to calm him down.

The train soon come to a stop. Cedric stands up and pulls my trunk from the racks along with his. "Let's go..." he said, offering me his hand. I grab his hand and take the trunk in other. Then we walk out of the train.

At Dining Hall

I'm sitting with the rest of the Gryffindor. Next to Harry to be more specific, Ron and Hermione is sitting across from us.

"Y/N?" I hear Ron called out for me. "Yeah?" I said, turning to look at him. He's not looking at me, but at my neck which is covered in a scarf. This makes me feel nervous because I know what he's going to ask me.

"Why are you wearing a scarf?" He said, looking at the piece of fabric around my neck. "Oh... I just feel like it. It's a new addition to my fashion..." I said. He raise an eyebrow at me, but didn't question anything about it.

I can hear a knife tapping to glass sound. I turn my head to see Professor McGonagall. She smiles when the room grows silent. Professor Dumbledore stands up and starts talking about a few changes this year.

Eventually, introduce a woman by the name Dolores Umbridge. Professor Umbridge will be our teacher for the Defense Against the Dark Arts. But one look at her... I can already tell that she's a bad news and I don't even have to read her mind for it. Oh well... I just hope nothing bad will happen this year.
