Chapter 25

Previously on Chapter 24

I froze when I feel an arm wrap around my shoulder. I try to pull away but he keeps me in place. "Just let it out..." he said. I didn't say anything, just burst in tears. I bury my face in the crook of his neck as I cry.

-Hogsmeade Visit-

Y/N P.O.V

After a while, I'm finally calm. I pull away from him and just stare at my hands which I place in my laps. We just sit there in silence.

"So..." Draco starts. I turn to look at him. "What was that? Who was that?" He said. I let out a sigh. There is no point in hiding it anymore. They've seen what happened, what scared me.

"That was Lena Duchanne... my older sister..." I said. "Why are you afraid of your older sister? And why does the Boggart turns into you afterwards... only... darker. Are you afraid of yourself?" He asked, looking at me in confusion.

"I'm afraid of what I'm capable of... 3 years from now, exactly on the day I turn 16. I'm going to go through what my family call the Claiming. On that day, our nature will decide... which both Light and Dark I belong to... I'm scared that I might turn into a dark witch..." I said. I look down, letting my hair cover my face.

"But why would you turn into a dark witch?" He said while looking at me in confusion. "It's complicated... and I can't exactly tell you. I shouldn't have told you anything! It's something only my family could know. So please, Draco... do not tell anyone" I said, turning to look at him with pleading eyes.

"Okay... you don't have to worry... your secret is safe with me... thank you for telling me..." he said. I smile softly at him. "Thank you, Draco..." I said. He smiles back at me.

"Anyway... we're going to Hogsmeade today. That'll get your mind of things" Draco said, changing the subjects. "Oh yeah..." I said, in a low tone. "Aren't you excited?" He said, looking at me in confusion. I let out a sigh.

"With the things that's been going on to me lately... I haven't really got the time to have fun..." I said, with a deep frown on my face. "Yeah well then... you better start. Come on now... they will be leaving soon..." he said. He stands up and offers a hand to me. I place my hand on top of his. He gently pulls me up to my feet. Then we leave the Astronomy tower.

We are now gathering with other students. I see Ron and Hermione standing not far from me. They notice me and smile, but scowl when they notice Draco next to me.

I make my way towards them, Draco walking behind me. "Hello..." I said. "Hey... and um... what are you doing with him, Y/N?" Hermione said. "You've got a problem with that??" Draco said. They glare at each other. I nudge Draco's rib and turn to Hermione. "I just happen to be in Astronomy tower feeling upset after what happened in DADA. He came after me..." I said. They just hum, still not pleased with Draco. I notice someone missing.

"Harry can't join?" I asked. "Yeah... he didn't get his form signed, like I told you before" Ron said. "I feel bad for him..." I said. "Hopefully he can join us on the next visit. You're going there with us or are you going with him?" Hermione said, gesturing towards Draco next to me. He turns to me, looking hopeful. I let out a soft sigh.

"I'll be going with Draco, since he was the one that mentioned it. I'll meet you guys there... say... at the Three Broomstick?" I said. "Alright..." Hermione said, sounding upset. "Thanks, Mione..." I said. She nods her head, smiling at me. I wave bye at them and turn around to to walk with Draco.

We walk towards the carriage that will take us to the village. "After you..." Draco said, opening the door for me, while offering a hand. I just giggle and get inside the carriage. He gets in and sits next to me.

After a while, the carriage starts to move. I just stay silent as I watch the scenery passing by as we head to Hogsmeade.

"You know..." I hear Draco said, breaking the silence between us. "Yes?" I said, turning my head to look at him. "For a second, I thought that you might ditch me for them... after all... we're not that close" Draco said, sounding upset.

I shrug my shoulders. "If only you guys are friends. We can all go to Hogsmeade together" I said, sighing softly. He scoff at what I said. "Like that'll happen..." he said.

I glare at him playfully. "Can't a girl be hopeful??" I said, rolling my eyes at his remarks. "Sorry... I did offer friendships to Potter. He's the one that rejected me..." he said, with a frown on his face.

"He did?" I said, looking at him with a surprise face. He nods his head. "Maybe you gave him the wrong approach?" I said. "Kind of..." he said. I roll my eyes. "I am not surprised. So after that, the four of you just treat each other like enemies?" I said, looking at him in the eyes. "Yeah... pretty much..." he said, nodding his head.

I let out a sigh. "Then you should start to be nice... if you want to get along well. You know I can't choose between the trio and you..." I said. "You mean... you actually consider me as a friend?" He said. "Well... I wouldn't be going to Hogsmeade with you if we are not friends, would I?" I said. He just smile softly at me. "It's nice to see a genuine smile on your face and not that cocky smirk..." I said. He just rolls his eyes. "I don't show emotion much. So consider yourself lucky..." he said. I just let out a giggle and nudge his shoulder softly.

Time-skip

We walk around Hogsmeade. We try a lot of things. Of course, my favorite is the infamous butter beer. It's not actual beer, otherwise Draco and I would be too young to have it. It's REALLY good. I can't wait to have it again the next time we visit Hogsmeade.

Just as promise, I met up with Hermione and Ron. But of course, after the visit is over... I went back to Hogwarts with Draco. It's just seem rude to come with him only to ditch him afterwards. That's why I chose to head back to Hogwarts with him.

We reach Hogwarts. I get off the carriage. I turn my head to look for Hermione and Ron so we can go to Gryffindor house together. I spot them not far from me. I was about to walk up to them, when a hand gently grab my wrist.

I turn my head to see Draco. "You've been spending so much time in Gryffindor. You're a Slytherin too. Can't you stay at the Slytherin house..." he said. "I will... maybe tomorrow? I have a study session with Hermione..." I said. He lets out a sigh and lets go of my hand. He have a frown on his face. This make me sigh. I walk towards him and gently place a soft kiss on his cheek.

He blinks his eyes in surprise. "What... w-what w-w-was that f-for?" He said. "For everything... you're a good friend when you're not acting like a jerk. Thank you... I had so much fun. Something I never have for a long time..." I said, smiling softly at him. He blush at my words and smiles at me. I wave at him and make my way over to Hermione and Ron.

Draco P.O.V

She just kissed my cheek. SHE JUST KISS ME ON MY CHEEK!!! She also said we're now friends. Oh Merlin! This is the best day ever!!

Once Y/N is out of sight. I first bump the air and start to dance to myself. I honestly can't express how happy I am right now.

"Uhh... what are you doing?" Someone said. I stop and turn around to see Crabbe and Goyle. I clear my throat, trying to regain my composure.

"Nothing... let's go back to the Common room..." I said. They just nod their heads. Then we make our way to our house. Along the way, I can't wipe the smile from my face. Y/N've considered me as a friend. Now I just have to try my best to win her heart. Then she will be mine.
