After the train everyone was in their robes. Severus stormed off to the Slytherin table as fast as he could still annoyed about the journey on the train. Lily and Marlene had now seen Mary and Alice two other griffindor in their year and now they were walking towards the table in the great hall. The 'marauders' followed and they all sat down. To Severus' absolute disgust lily had sat with them and they all caught up with each other with Frank long bottom, Alice's boyfriend.
After a while, the headmaster has given his speech and the first years we're sorted into their houses, everyone started to eat and stuffed their faces. Just before dessert everyone chatted.
"So Evans how's your sister treating you" asked Sirius curiously, " Oh..she's fine, still calling me a freak though" said lily a bit bothered. "Hey at least if she's calling you a freak she calling everyone else here one too" said James trying be sound comforting. "Yes thank you James" lily said sarcastically. There was silence. "Hey lils... are you sure you don't want to go out with me" said James hopeful, "yes quite sure like I told you on the the train twice, I don't want to go out with you" said lily fed up. "Fine, fine just checking...hot stuff said James under his breath making the word hot stuff was not to loud but not too quite. "Sorry what was that" lily said amused for she heard him and trying not to giggle, "Nothing!" James answered quickly and a little bit too loud for everyone turned to look at them then looked away, lily couldn't help but laugh now.
Luckily for James, dessert appeared on the table in front of everyone. " this looks good" said Sirius trying to change the subject before his best friend dies of embarrassment. Once everyone had eaten they all headed to their common rooms and one by one all went to bed.
The marauders and the girls were the last to go to bed for they were all chatting. It was 10:00 before lily yawned and said "Right, time for bed I think" and got up. "I'll come with you, Mary, Alice, you coming?" said Marlene getting tired, she gave Sirius a kiss then followed lily to bed. "Yeah just coming" said Mary. "Me too" said Alice. All the girls said goodnight and went to bed. James watched Lily walked up the stairs and into their dorm, he couldn't help but smirk. "You still love her don't you prongs" said Remus. "Moony don't be ridiculous" snapped James, "fine but we better get to bed" said Remus. James couldn't sleep that night, as his friends all snored and slept on he lay awake thinking about what Remus had said, did he still love her?
