Chapter 8:The results

It's the next morning and everyone is excited for they get their results today. Everyone goes for breakfast in the great hall in their little groups and sat at their house tables. Marlene, Mary and lily were the first ones at breakfast, they were sat a the table but lily was quiet, "come on lils it won't be that bad" said Mary trying to comfort her "yeah it's just having to go out with James potter" said Marlene with Mary trying not to laugh. "Not helping Marlene" said Lily. Lily put her head on the table fed up "What am I going to do" said she still with her head on the table "if he gets it then I have to date him but he he doesn't then I have to keep rejecting him" she said lifting her head a little but putting it back. "You don't have to -" Mary was saying before lily said "very funny but we made a deal I have too." "No you don't have to reject him, you could date" said Mary, Marlene was very silent. "Ha you've got to be kidding me" said lily lifting her head, "what so wrong with him" said Marlene finally saying something, "What's wrong with him? It's James" said lily looking at her. "So whats bad about him" said Marlene, "he's you know" said lily struggling to get her words out " a friend" said Mary giggling, "very funny but what if its weird" said lily getting cold feet, "but it might not be but you'll never know unless you try" said Mary, Marlene agreed. They changed the subject and started eating when Remus, peter, Sirius and James came over to them for breakfast, everyone went silent "why is everyone so quiet" peter said after five minutes "I'm laughing in my head" said Marlene smirking at lily whilst looking up at her lily gave her a scowl and she gave a funny face back. "Why are you laughing in your head" said Sirius feeling insecure incase it was about him, "Lily" she said giving him a kiss on the cheek "Oh yeah its the results today" said Remus shaking his head with a big smile, "how ya feeling" said peter starting to laugh lily hit him "Ouch what was that for", she hit him again but harder, "Ow" peter said again. James was very quiet, he was full of worry he hardly ate, he couldn't even look anyone in the eye. Everyone when to class.

It was the evening everyone had eaten and was in their common rooms. Mcgonagall came into the common room and everyone crowded round her. She gave everyone their results then left quite happy and pleased with herself. Marlene and lily got ninety-eight percent as well as Remus. Mary, Peter and Sirius got ninety-six percent. "Oh my god" said Peter looking over James shoulder, "what is it" lily said with a smile, "I-I got ninety-seven" said James jaw dropped. "What?" Lily said rushing over to him and peering over James shoulder then she took a step back. "well?" said Marlene, "I lost the bet. I have to date James" said lily wobbly, "oh come on he's not that bad" said Remus before James jumped on the sofa shouting "Guess who won the bet" all happy, "you sure" lily said watching James in disbelif, "Lily has to date me" James said jumping off the sofa everyone was staring at him lily was wide eyed with her mouth open. "Well done bro" said Sirius slapping him on the back "well done padfoot" said Remus, Peter, Marlene and Mary "lils you okay" said Peter with a worried look, lily had turned as white as a ghost in pure shock and terror she was staring into space when Remus walked up to her, guided her to a chair and sat her down and said "sh sh sh close your eyes and breathe" lily did what he said and put her head on his shoulder and fell asleep, everyone sat around them and started talking James just smiled, watched lily and had a drink all calm.  About an hour passes and everyone is going to bed, Remus shook lily to wake her up but she was in too deep a sleep so Mary went to the dorm and got a mini horn, put it up to her face and honked it to wake her, lily woke up with a shot saw the horn and said "Seriously its bad enough you use it in the morning", "thats what the noise is" said peter concerned, "come on sleepy head bed time" said Remus gently shaking her to wake up, lily gave a groan then James went up to her and shook her and said "well she's not up looks like ill have to kiss her" he said teasing moving out the way for lily shot up like a light and went to bed fast, James just smiled shaking his head, "how'd you know that would work mate" said Peter, "It's what I do with Sirius on a morning" he said turning his a head to look at a dosing of goofball, "It works watch...oh your asleep looks like I'll have to kiss you" James made some kissing noises and Sirius woke up straight away, "not funny anymore prongs" he said in disgust, Jame show ever was having a blast laughing his head off and soon everyone joined in then went to bed.

The next morning  was the day everyone went home, every student had packed and was in their own clothes for breakfast. IT was the same as every day but however today was busier and the whole group had gone to breakfast together but sat in their usual spot and had their usual chat. "Wait so in the muggle world unicorns are fake" peter asked, "Yes they are" replied Mary, "and a leopard mouse camel with a long neck is real" said Sirius, "its called a giraffe but yes" said James, everyone looked at him confused "Thats right i know stuff" he said cocky "since when" said lily looking at him, "hey watch it you're talking to your boyfriend now" he said teasingly scowling at her, "not yet your not" she said looking back at her porridge, "so I am going to be your boyfriend" he said smirking raising an eyebrow at her, "I didn't say that" she said shaking her head looking back then back at her food and started eating again, "Thats what I heard" teased Peter, "oh ha ha very funny" lily said before staying quiet, "How did we change subject so fast" said Marlene tuning back into the conversation "James called himself my boyfriend" explained lily, "but he is" she replied, "not yet!" lily said starting to get annoyed. She stayed quite while the rest changed the subject and started chatting. After breakfast everyone got their stuff and went on the train and went home for the summer holidays.
