Chapter 11: Seventh year begins

Lily woke up nervous and dreading the school year ahead. "Lily sweetheart you need to get up you don't want to miss the train now" Lily's mother had knocked and opened the door. "Do I have to go" lily rolled over in bed and hid her face under her duvet. "Yes you have to go the same as you had to go the last six years, come on up now" Her mother said shaking her " don't make me pull the blanket off you" at this lily said bolt up right "that's what I thought now get dressed and come down stairs for breakfast, it's pancakes" Mrs Evans said walking out the door.

Lily did what she was told and got up brushed her teeth and got dressed. She finished packing her things and went downstairs. "Morning squirt" Lily's dad said as he heard her walk downstairs, Petunia however was waiting for lily to walk down then so she could walk up them but she was mumbling crazily. "Hey dad what up with her?" Lily said looking back, she looked forward at the table "oh my god" Lily gasped putting a hand on her chest leaping back. "We have visitors" her dad said smiling giving his daughter a kiss on the top of her head. Lily stared in horror as she saw three boys her age at the table, "Hey lils" they all said looking at her with mouthfuls of pancake. What lily saw was Remus lupin, Sirius Black and the one and only James Potter. "What- what are you lot doing here" lily stammered still in shock, "we're taking you to the train station remember" Remus said as he swallowed his food, "Are you now?" She said unconvinced, "yeah don't you remember?" chimed in Sirius "No" said Lily " I must of forgotten that tiny detail". "Well its a good job they remembered isn't  it" Petunia walked in with her mother behind her, "we don't want you staying here". "Come on girls you know it's time for school, now stop dilly dallying and eat some food" She said. "Yes mum" the girls said at the same time reluctantly.

Mr Evans put some pancakes on some plates and put it on the table next to the boys. Lily sat next to James and Sirius and Petunia sat next to Remus and her mother. "Aren't you gonna eat dad" Petunia asked he father, "No dear I've already had mine" he answered, "Lily? Are you all packed?" He asked, "yes dad" lily answered eating her pancakes trying  not to kick James in the leg for he was watching her whilst smirking. "So are you a friend of Lily's" Mrs Evans asked James. James started to chuckle and at that Lily did kick him, "yes" James winced from the pain, lily grinned . "Thanks you mr Evans that was delicious" Remus butted in quickly before anything else happened "lils where's your stuff and I'll go load it into the car". "In my room" lily replied, "great I'll go grab it" then he left. "It was very delicious, thank you sir" Sirius remarked to Lily's father and he nodded a thank you in reply " and "Mrs Evans I love your necklace, I see where lily gets her good looks". "Oh why thank you dear, your quite the charmer" Lily's mother blushed. "Hm shame their freaks" Petunia agreed feeling like her old self. "Petunia!" Her father bellowed "apologise now". "Oh no need sir, lily told us what her loving sister was like besides this is nothing compared to like how my parents treated me, Oh why their freaks too the whole lot of them, their quite rich you know" Sirius smirked, James and lily smiled and looked down. "Um Sirius and James come from wizarding families so they're quite the experts when it comes to magic" lily explained to her parents, "but not as big as experts as your lovely daughter here, she outranks us in almost every class" James added lifting Lily's chin up and smiling at her, Lily smiled back. "Lily! Pah I bet she can't even do twelve times twelve, what makes her so special?" Petunia spat at her sister, "first of all its one hundred and forty four" lily said glaring at her sister whilst getting up from her chair to put her plate by the sink " and second of all you're being ridiculous". "Petunia that's enough just eat your breakfast" her mother said sounding almost ashamed. " We're sorry about her she's just having a hard time adjusting to having a Witch in the family" Mr Evans  pointed out to James and Sirius who were starting to feel a bit weird.

At this point Remus came back into the room, "I've got the car ready, we better get going if we don't want to miss the train" he said feeling the tension. "Yes of course" said Mrs Evans " have fun at school dears don't get into trouble and stay safe". "Yes M'am" said Sirius, "Will do, goodbye" said James as they ran out the door. Lily and her parents walked out the door and to the car together, "have you got everything" Mrs Evans said "yes mum" lily replied "remember to write to us and that we love you", "I know dad", Lily hugged her parents and then walked the final steps to the car "Bye Petunia!" She called out. James opened the car door for her "for you m'lady" he said with a smirk, "what is up with you?" She said giving a little giggle and got in. "Nothing just happy" as he shut the door and got in himself. Lily's parents waved them off and walked back inside.

"I'm sorry about my sister" lily said guiltily.
