Chapter 7

                          Benny's pov
I just dropped off y/n at her house and started walking to mine. Then suddenly I hear a car pass by, I turn around and see someone shooting y/n. They shot her on the side of the stomach and her leg. I ran as soon as I saw her body fall. 'Y/N!!'. I grabbed her in my arms and opened her front door. I started screaming. 'Mrs.y/l/n!!' Right when I screamed she came running down. When she saw y/n she fell to the ground sobbing. 'We need to get her to a hospital!' I yelled and started running to the car to head to the hospital.

When we got there I couldn't control myself anymore. 'SOMEONE GET A DOCTOR!' I yelled. 'Sir you need to calm down and stop yelling please' a nurse said. 'I CANT BE CALM SHES DIEING AND YOUR NOT DOING ANYTHING' a few seconds later doctors came rushing with a bed and they took her away. Y/n's parents were standing there crying trying to console each other. 'Benny does your mom know your here son' 'no as soon as it happen I didn't think to tell my mom' they gave me 2 quarters to call my mom on the payphone. 'Hello mom?' 'Benny donde estas!'(Benny where are you) 'I'm at the hospital y/n got shot and i- i- don't know what's going o-on n-now' I said between sobs. 'I'll be at the hospital soon mijo just please calm down' 'ok mom' I said and hung up.

I tried to ask a doctor what they were doing to her but they all said they still didn't have any information. I got mad and screamed at a doctor telling him it was his fucking job to know what was going on. I realized I was slowly losing my cool. Then I remembered her cousin Dallas. He went to a bar and I don't know if he's home yet.

                           Dallas pov
I was just getting home and I wasn't that drunk. What a surprise right. I knocked on the door and no one answered and I looked inside and it was pitch black. I saw some neighbor lady getting in her car and she saw me. 'Do you know them?' She asked. 'Yeah I'm y/n's cousin' 'Then I'm assuming you don't know' she said concerned. I was completely confused. 'Y/n's in the hospital she got shot by a car passing by'. When she said that I was at lost for words. I couldn't lose her she's my cousin and the only other person that keeps me alive. I cursed loudly and the lady asked if I needed a ride to the hospital. Which I accepted because I have no clue where anything is. We arrived to the hospital in no time.

'Aunt Eva(that will be your moms name) how's y/n what happen is she ok' 'Dally calm down we don't know anything yet Benny said she got shot in the side of the stomach and her leg' I walked to Benny and asked what happen. 'Im not sure all I remember was me dropping her off at her porch and a black Cadillac pulled up and shot her and I quickly rushed to her'. I was furious i started punching the wall immediately creating a whole. Benny had to calm me. If I didn't hear from her soon I would lose it. About 10 minutes later a doctor came out.

'Family of y/n y/l/n' 'us doctor' said my aunt and uncle. 'Well she is out of surgery but she is in a coma because she got a concussion when she hit the floor. She might wake up in a week a month even up to 4 months. We don't know when she will wake but I hope its soon. Yall can go in and see her because she can hear you guys but won't respond.' He said. He gave us the room number. We went in and there she was. She looked life less. I never cry but seeing her like this was awful and I never wanted to see her like this.

                      Benny's pov
We went in the room and my heart shattered. She looked dead just laying in her bed connected to a lot of tube's. I don't want to see her like this it just broke me. I broke down crying hoping she would wake up any second but she didn't. The Sandlot wouldn't be the same if she died. Wait no Benny don't say that she's gonna live. She's a strong girl and she will come through i thought.

                           TIME SKIP

                          Benny's pov
Its been 2 weeks already and y/n hasn't woken up yet. I was starting to lose myself and giving up hope. I would go visit her everyday and just talked to her about everything that is going on. After the incident I didn't go to the sandlot for a week and the guys started to get worried. After they came to convince me I started going again. The guys would also go visit y/n with me sometimes and talk with her too. My life is pointless and this point. Y/n was the only thing keeping me happy (besides baseball) but baseball hasn't even been cheering me up. I was getting ready to go visit y/n with the guys and Dallas. We all arrived at the sandlot and started heading to the hospital.

When we got there we took turns talking with her. I was always last because if I was first the guys would never get a chance to talk with her. When all the guys were done talking with her I went in. 'Hey baby I know you can hear me so please I beg you, wake up my life has been miserable without you and I honestly feel helpless. I need you so please wake up if not for me do it for Dallas hes been miserable. He looks like a zombie. All he does it go to the bar,get drunk and hookup with girls. So please y/n wake up we need you. I need you!' I said. At this point I was sobbing.

                           Y/n's pov
I could hear Benny and I tried my best to wake up but I couldn't. I used all my force but I wouldn't budge. I wanted to wake up and hug him and go back to living my normal life but I know It would take a while.

I was most worried about dally thought. He never cries and everytime he comes he end up sobbing. I found out that the only reason he is still alive is because me and Johnny so I really needed to wake up. Benny was still ranting on but I loved to hear him. I then started to try and wake up. I fluttered my eyes open and there he was. Benny the love of my life. He hadn't noticed I woke up because he was sobbing into his hands. He finally looked up and saw me.
