Chapter 3

I woke up to knocking on my window.I turned to my alarm clock on my nightstand and it was fricken 8:00 in the morning.

'Benny what the hell you doing here this God damn early'
'I wanted you to go with me to invite the new kid to the Sandlot'
'Alright but lemme get ready'

I changed into a baby blue crop top and some shorts.I walk downstairs to see my mom and dad eating breakfast.

'Dad your home'
'Hey kiddo how you been'
'I've been good'
'Morning mom'
'morning mija'

I eat some pancakes that my mom made then went to Benny's house.I knocked on the door and his mom answered.

'Hey y/n',
'Hey Mrs.Rodriguez'
'Benny esta en su cuarto'
(𝙱𝚎𝚗𝚗𝚢 𝚒𝚜 𝚒𝚗 𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚛𝚘𝚘𝚖)
'ok gracias'

I walk in his room and he was shirtless.He is very fit for a 14 almost 15 year old.It was a normal thing for us so it wasn't awkward.I just went and sat on the bed.

'Wow y/n glad you know how to knock'He playfully rolled his eyes.
'Thanks I learned when I was young'

We laughed and he was already all changed so we walked downstairs to the door.We were walking to the new kids house and we saw him sitting outside.

'Hey your new here right'I ask
'yeah I'm Scotty smalls'
'Well hey smalls I'm y/n and this is Benny'

Then Benny spoke up

'Hey uh were gonna go play some ball and wanted to know if you wanted to join'
'thanks but I can't'
'why don't you like baseball?' I asked'
'yeah but..my glove it's busted now see I can't go'

I just thought this kid really just didn't wanna get embarrassed by the gang again.

'Dont worry I got an extra one now let's go' Benny said as he pulled out a glove from his back pocket.

Smalls,Benny,and I were walking to the Vincent's Drug store to meet up with the gang.

'im twa gweat bwambwino'said ham
'what?' said the others is confusion
'Im the great Bambino'
'Ohhh'

Then smalls said the most stupidest thing I have ever heard.

'Whos that'
'What.....what did he say'

Then the started with name calling and insulting.

'Were you born in a barn or somethin'
'yeah yeah what planet are you from'
'You never heard of Titan of terror'

'The sultan of swat'

'The collosis of clout'
'The collosis of clout'

'Oh the great Bambino,of course I thought you had said the great...bambi'
'That wimpy deer'Ham said kinda shocked
'yeah I guess'

I could definitely tell he was lying.Then Benny introduced him to everyone.

'We're wasting time let's go to the Sandlot'Benny said
'its 9 o'clock in the morning Benny'

We walked to the Sandlot while I stayed behind the group to talk with smalls a bit.

'Sorry bout the guys they can be a real pain sometimes'
'its fine guess it's hard being new I guess'
'They'll warm up to you soon'

He muttered a small 'I hope'

We got there and Benny told him to go to left center.I was batting first for a while and I thought I did pretty good might I add 😌. Then it was Benny's turn.

'Smalls throw it to second'
'alright'

Benny hit the ball and in the process of smalls trying to get the ball he fell straight on his butt. They all laughed.Then he ran all the way to Kenny to give him the ball.But then I gave Benny a look
and we both went to smalls.

'You can throw it ya know'
'No.... I-i can't I don't know how'
'its ok I'll give you an example'
'You ever have a paper route'
'i helped a dude once'

Then Benny started explaining

'well chug it like you would chug a paper when your arm gets here just let go'

We were about to walk away when he asked

'How do I catch it'
'Just stand there and stick your glove out in the air I'll take care of it'

'That was nice of you to help him Benny'
'Least I could do for him'

I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and then he went up to bat.

'Smalls throw to second'

Then he hit the ball and smalls caught it.

'Yeah alright smalls'
'Good job'

We continued playing then we started walking home.Me and Benny hand-in-hand and smalls next to Benny.

'Well bye guys'
'bye' we said back
'Wait Benny your glove'
'You can keep it'
'Thanks Benny'
'Oh and smalls bring a T-shirt and jeans tommorow'said Benny
'ok'
'Hey you got a fireplace'
'yeah why' He asked very confused
'throw that hat in there man'

'oh ya see it was the only one I got'
'You can have my old hat don't worry'

Me and Benny stopped at my porch.

'Your nice to the kid Benny,are you turning soft Benny boy?'
I cocked an eyebrow
'oh shut it y/l/n'(your last name)

Me and Benny were just staring into each other's eyes.I was lost in his hazel colored eyes just scanning his features.Then we both started to lean in and it happened.We Kissed.My lips and his pink plump lips moving in perfect sync.It lasted for about 10 seconds.Then we both pulled away.

'Um-I-sorry about that y/n'
'its ok I kinda liked it'I said biting my lip'

Then he said something I waited my whole life for...........
