I stood by the number one hero, All Might, in Ground Beta. We were both facing towards a dark tunnel, waiting for all the students to emerge in all their glorious hero costumes. Both of us were silent, maybe the occasional 'how are you?' or 'are you prepared?'. It was very awkward, to say the least, both of us trying our best to be respectful towards the other.

Or, maybe it was the way I acted. I was very serious and cold towards my coworkers when I first met them. It was how I was raised. "When working, you need to be completely serious or else you may be distracted and mess things up. We don't want that Homura? Do we?" I can still remember exactly the things they used to say to me. Some things were good, but most of the time, the things they said were toxic and manipulative. I was punished severely if I didn't do things exactly how they wanted me to. Or, if I wanted to do something my way, I was ridiculed for speaking out of turn. I realize that now, but I still use their ways deep inside. Not towards others, but towards myself. But now is not the time to tell my whole backstory, as the heroes-in-training were now emerging from the tunnel.

All Might got into his heroic stance, and began talking as the students appeared fully dressed in their amazing hero costumes, "They say the clothes make the pros, young ladies and gentleman-"

"And theys!" I interrupt, but let him continue as he glances at me for a moment.

"-and behold, you are the proof! Take this to heart: From now on you are all-" The man pauses for dramatic effect, watching as they all gleam in the sunlight, "Heroes in Training!"

I look at all of them, standing strong and proud in all their glory. Many of the costumes I loved, some not as much. But they all looked amazing. Some really thought about their quirks when designing the costumes. Katsuki Bakugou-a student I had read about when looking through the student's profiles- for example, looked fantastic and I could tell he truly thought about how his costume should support him and his quirk. Just by looking at him, I could tell he would be a well-known hero later on.

"This is getting me all ramped up! You look so cool!!" All Might continued commenting.

A little smile came onto my pale features, "Yes, all of you look amazing. I can tell all of you put thought into your costumes." I put a thumbs up in front of me to prove my point, closing my eyes sweetly, "Good job, everyone."

"NOW!" He got everyone's attention once again, "Shall we get started, you buncha newbies?!"

As everyone excitedly stared and talked among themselves at All Might, I muffled a giggle looking at one of the students. Izuku Midoriya-his name- had some very similar costume aspects to the hero standing next to me. And, when I glanced over I could tell that the man noticed it too, muffling some words into his hand. I think I could even hear the word, "obvious" at the end.

After I had calmed myself down, as well as hushing the students, All Might began to give instruction. I began to zone out, I knew exactly what was going to happen, and unless somehow I needed to intervene, or if someone had a question, I wouldn't be needed at all. I was only observing and grading this lesson.

All of a sudden I zoned back in, hearing multiple students begin to ask questions, overwhelming the number one hero. Quickly I intervened before it got out of hand, "Excuse me, but All Might wasn't finished.-" The students tensed up, and I turned towards my coworker, "-Please continue."

He nodded in response and continued to give the instructions, albeit a little amateur-like, pulling out the same lesson plan booklet I gave him. He began reading it off, word-for-word to the students.

I sighed inaudibly and shook my head, 'You were doing so well...'

As the hero commanded the students to draw lots, I stepped closer to him, gaining his attention. Furrowing my brows, I looked up at his large form, "What was that?" I whispered.
