ASHER-STRATFIELD SCHOOL

Right now, Lacey was back at school. She was sitting in her dorm room window, looking wistfully outside as if she was searching for something, or someone. Her subconscious was probably looking for Asher, but her consciousness was probably just writing it off as boredom. Isaiah had had to erase everyone’s memory, wiping away any traces of Asher’s former self. Asher had kept a watchful eye on Lacey, keeping her out of harm’s way. She could never see him. Now he was no longer an angel. He was a beast. He was the thing of young children’s nightmares. It took everything inside of him not to go to her. Lacey should never have to see, let alone love, someone as ugly as him. He was happy staying on the sidelines, keeping her safe- the true definition of a guardian angel.
