Xiao examined the situation.
A crowd of about 10-15 people surrounded the Traveler and a middle-aged man.

"I did your commission, where is the profit?" Aether asked, trying to wear a kind smile.

"If you did the job better you would have been paid!"
Snapped the other. Aether looked at Xiao, unsure of what to say to the man. Aether needed his money after all, and this man won't pay him.

Xiao sighed, shaking his head,
"Traveler let's go."
Xiao walks over to Aether, grabbing him by the wrist.

The man opens his archons forsaken mouth once more.
"That's what you get! No wonder your sister left, she must of left of her own volition."

The crowd goes silent, even Xiao is struck at such a remark.
At that Aether breaks free from Xiao and swings a punch. The man is immediately thrown on the ground by impact.

"Don't you dare drag my sister into this."
Aether says, his hands shaking slightly.
Xiao forcefully drags Aether out of the crowd.

Millelith eyed Aether as he was escorted out of the city by Xiao. Paimon following closely behind.

"That-that idiot!"
Paimon huffed, kicking her feet in the air.

"Enough, that mortal knows nothing other than to cheat it's kind. Do not let its words pester you."
Xiao stated firmly, Paimon scrunched her nose in disagreement.

"That doesn't mean he can say that to Aether."
Paimon crossed her arms, puffing her cheeks. "Traveler, don't listen to that ugly guy!"

Paimon says reassuringly, patting the top of the blond's head.
"Paimon is going to make him wish he never messed with you."
Paimon said before teleporting away, where only a burst of constellations was left behind.

Aether brings a hand to his face, shaking his head. "That guy is right, Lumine wouldn't want to see me like this. It isn't right for me to value mora so highly."

Xiao clicks his tongue, looking back at the city of Liyue. "Everything in this world is greedy. A game wants your attention, money wants your devotion, and people want your trust. All are allowed to be selfish and greedy, as long as it doesn't consume them."

Xiao said, pausing to take a glance at the blonde. Who at this time had small droplets falling from the corners of his eyes.

"All are selfish, including that mortal. Though, your heart is better than most. Do not let his little comments float in your head. He is nothing but a liar and a scammer."

Xiao lectured, turning towards Aether. The blond's tears fell onto his cheeks. Xiao growled in annoyance, taking a couple steps towards Aether.

The Adeptus wraps his arms around Aether. Letting the blond rest his head on Xiao's right shoulder. Aether crying softly, tried to calm himself in the Adeptus' embrace.
