Aether lay limp on the ground, light flashing.
"Aether... I told you not to overwork yourself! That's it! I'm bringing you to Xiao."
Paimon scolded, picking up Aether's hand and trying to move him.

"No, don't call him. He'll kill me if anything."
Aether groaned, flipping over and struggling to stand up.
"Traveler,"
Paimon spoke in a soft tone, holding a hand to her heart.

"XIAO!"
The pixie's voice was loud, yelling at the top of her lungs.
However, Xiao did not show.
"XIAO, AETHER NEEDS HELP!"
Xiao instantly appeared, looking around vigilantly.

"Traveler? Are you in need of assistance-"

"Aether overworked himself again, please care for him."
Paimon snickered.  Spinning and then disappearing as fast as Xiao had appeared.

The Adeptus shook his head, turning to the traveler that was kissing the ground.
"You- you will pay for disturbing an Adepti's work."

Aether was in Wangshu inn, Verr Goldet would occasionally come to bring him various ointments and teas.
"This is monk's tea, it'll help with your headache."
Verr Goldet hands Aether the cup, smiling softly.

When Verr Goldet closes the door, Xiao appears, like he was hiding behind the door the whole time.
"Why were you behind the door?"
The Adeptus narrows his eyes, making Aether shiver at the cold gesture.

"Y-you need to take care of yourself."
Xiao said, face burning red. Aether had a look of confusion on his face. "I'm saying that... Just... here."
Xiao hands Aether a small box. The blond looks down at the box, slowly opening it. Xiao settled at the foot of the bed. Waiting for the traveler's response.

Inside was a checklist of all of Aether's commissions. They had a check through them with the adventurer's guild stamp to prove it.

Digging further he found a key.
"Xiao, what's this for?"
The Adeptus' mouth hung half-open.
Lips forming a thin line he reaches his hand out. Plopping In his hand was another box, it was long and made of wood. With a bird constellation on the front of it.

"This is a gift, for you to get better. Every time the sword strikes something, I will be alerted and will come to aid in battle."
Xiao hands over the present, watching Aether stick in the key. Turning it ever so slowly.

Aether opens the gift, on the inside was a sword of Jade, similar to Xiao's polearm.
"It's called Jade cutter,"
The Adeptus explained, watching Aether pick it up and adore its scratches.

"The sword is ceremonial, cut by the finest of jade. It's said that when the sword swings, you can hear the wind sigh."
Xiao paused, looking at Aether to see if the traveler was following along. Which Aether looked very intrigued.

"Similar to my weapon, both carved in jade, I thought it, would best fit you. Handed to me by an old friend, I found no use for a different weapon. It had sat in my realm for years."
Xiao scoffed, while Aether put the sword into the box gently. Setting the gift on the floor.

"Thank you!!!"
Aether wrapped his arms around the Adeptus, Xiao stiffening. "Y-you get- Don't touch me!"
Aether didn't pull away, holding Xiao tighter.
"Go back to sleep, or whatever."
Xiao sighed, trying to pry the blond off him.

"Please take care of me, I'm injured and sad. You being here and giving your beautiful gift has somewhat healed me. BUT ALAS~ I require more."
Xiao's eyebrow twitched, shoving his hand in the blond's face.

"Go away."

"Stay pleaseeee~"
Xiao huffed standing up with the blond latched to his arm.
The Adeptus sits down next to Aether, patting his lap.
The blond's brows raise as he snuggles in the boy's lap.
Xiao takes some of the ointments, using it to rub at the boy's faded injuries.

Massaging his arm, Aether's breathing calms. A serenity he had been seeking. Xiao begins to drift asleep, letting his head rest against the wall.

Eyes flutter open, seeing Aether still asleep, Xiao shakes the blond. Aether groans and rises, eyes barely open and hair messed. "What?"
Xiao looks to his right to where the medicines sat on the table.

"Open your mouth."
Xiao muttered, the traveler deflated and laid back in Xiao's lap. "I don't need medicine anymore-"
The Adeptus frowned, sipping the medicine and pressing a kiss to Aether's lips. Pushing the medicine down his throat.
Aether's eyes widened in shock, Xiao pulled away, wiping his lips with the back of his hand.

"Nurse Xiao!!"
Paimon giggled, appearing from nowhere.
The Adeptus shot a glare at the travel guide, picking her up and throwing her out the window.
Meanwhile, Aether was rolling around in the bed, flustered to the point of no return.
