"It's you that I lie with"

When I awoke, the sun was glaring through my bedroom windows.

I tossed and turned until I finally decided to glance at my clock on my nightstand.

7:24am

I laid in bed thinking of last night. I made out with my cheating ex while the guy I like watched. Classy.

After minutes of rethinking my decisions, I walked over to my bathroom to get ready for the day. I turned on my shower, took off my pajamas, and hopped in.

I wanted to tell my mama about Theo. We don't keep secrets and me keeping this from her made feel like I was compromising our mother-daughter relationship. Since a child I've always told my mother everything. From the gossip at school to girl to girl talk.

I stepped out of the shower and grabbed my robe and began to brush my teeth. After, I started on my hair which took almost an hour.

I walked back into my bedroom and lit my favorite scented candle, and let the aroma fill the air.

Taking a look inside my closet, I spotted a white cropped log sleeve top that's been sitting untouched since I bought it out shopping with Odessa.

I wanted to pair it with fitted black sweats, so I took out my stacked ones, then my Dior 1s.

In my jewelry box, I found a Dior chain, and a Cuban bracelet.

Looking back I over to my clock, I noticed it was 8:27, so I had to get going.

Rushing downstairs, I grabbed a smoothie drink and my car keys.

Arriving on campus at 8:52, I reached into the backseat of my car and grabbed my laptop.

The main building was empty and quiet, if you dropped a pen, it would echo.

Mr. Takhon's classroom door was closed, but I heard voices coming from inside. I peaked my head in and saw him conversing with Camille.

My gaze fell to the tall, handsome man who seemed to be speaking with such confidence and assertiveness. His eyes locked with mine and I quickly maneuvered out of the way.

Minutes pass and the door opens.

"Miss Creed. Are you in need of something?" The low, raspy voice filled the room as I walked in.

"No, sir." I said, slipping beside him inside the cold room.

I found my seat and waited for Camille to join me.

Students were beginning to walk inside of class.

"Good Morning to you all. I see new faces. I'm Mr. Takhon. Your instructor for Psych 186D this semester. New students, you did not miss much, but I would advise you to attend every class." His shoulders were back, and he spoke with conviction.

I opened my computer, ready to jot down notes or any important information I think I'll need. The low temperature made me drowsy, on top of the fact that I feel like I got no sleep last night.
