MILA

"Only you darling, only you babe"

"I love this dress on you, love. It fits you perfectly." Theo spun me around to get a better look, and a smirk appeared on his face. "This is the one, tesoro."

After a lovely breakfast with Laura, Theo insisted I buy a dress for tonight. He went on and on about taking me out and it being special, for the both of us.

We never shopped together intentionally before, and I learned I'd enjoy doing this more often. He specifically said we had to look for a blue dress.

There weren't as many people out today as I would've thought. The last time I visited, the streets were filled with tourists and people trying to do business.

We spent the rest of the day sight seeing and taking photos to show our friends and family back home. This morning, Laura was acting weirder than usual. Asking me if I'm happy with Theo and if I was sure that I wanted him.

Of course I am. I love him.

It was approaching six-thirty when Theo and I had finished getting ready for our night out. The dress I wore was fitted, silk, and long.

I studied Theo's body language, and he looked nervous, which I've never seen before.

"You okay, baby?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Ready? The car is waiting downstairs." He assured, and I took one last look in the mirror before I left.

The necklace he had gotten me for my birthday had become a necessity for anything elegant I wore.

Once we were seated at our table in the restaurant, Theo couldn't take his eyes off of me. It made me blush and anxious at the same time. "What're you looking at? Is something on my face?" I picked up my fork to take a look and Theo let out a laugh.

"No, you look beautiful, Mila."

I don't think I'll ever get used to how my name flows off of his tongue so effortlessly.

The scenery around this place was crazy. There was a park just around the corner and multiple bakeries on the way here. Inside, it felt like we were dining at a princess hall or something. The food was expensive and the staff were such sweethearts.

Odessa and Camille had called me while getting ready, wondering why I haven't been updating them on the trip.

I tried to tell them how it was going so far, but I couldn't say exactly what I wanted with Theo next to me, obviously interested in my conversation.

Throughout our dinner, Theo had checked his phone countless times between our appetizer and dessert. When I asked him, he brushed it off.

"How's setting up your office going?" He sat his water back onto the table. "Slow. Who knew setting up my own psychology practice would take this much work?" I sighed.

"I could always help you out, I know a few people." He said, about to pick up his phone to check a message, which I thought was pretty rude.

"Baby, you know how I feel about getting help from people. I want to try this on my own before you save me, okay?"

"Okay."
