The Fight

"Why you got to always start stuff? Why can't you just be her dad?" Renee yelled as they walked in the house.

"Her daddy? Her daddy? Must we go there huh? I have told you I don't have a daughter. Why can't y'all accept that? I'm a father of 2 sons. You mean to tell me that boy don't know you a darn man?" Blair yelled.

"Keep your voice down. You don't have to accept what my life is but you will respect my relationship with Erik." Amiyah snapped back.

"I'm not respecting that abomination unto God. And you need to stop living this lie with this man." Blair yelled back at her.

"Listen Mr. Stoney I don't know you like that but I feel this is Amiyah's decision to live how she wants. And as her father you should support her. This is not the way to do things." Amy said.

"And who are you? I don't know you and this ain't your business. So I suggest you mind the business that pays you." Blair said to Amy.

"Blair don't talk to Amiyah friend like that. She's only trying to help. Now if you was gonna come and do this you could have stayed home." Renee yelled at Blair.

"Yeah like seriously dad this is embarrassing. We all accept sis for what and who she is. Why can't you just support her and be her dad instead of the pastor all the damn time." Aaron said.

"You watch your mouth when speaking to me young man. Don't use those words at me or I will make you eat those words." Blair said stepping in Aaron's face.

"I'm a grown man pops. And I can express what I feel how I want to. You are being very disrespectful towards sis and that's not cool. I love you but I can't stand you sometimes man. You do too much. All she wants is acceptance can't you see that?" Aaron snapped back.

Blair didn't like the tone that he was getting from his son so he slapped him in the face.

"Don't you ever speak to me like that again. Or you will be in the same boat with him. I will disown you both." Blair said.

"How could you say that to Amiyah and Aaron?" Renee asked.

"No I'm saying that to Micah and Aaron. My sons. Not my son and daughter." Blair said.

They continued the argument when Erik, his family and Darius walked in.  Everyone got quiet and looked at them as they walked in.

"Is everything ok in here?" Alex asked as he looked around.

"Everything is fine. We just had to discuss a family matter that's all." Renee said smiling.

"If it's a family matter what is Amy doing in it? She ain't family. So there got to be something else y'all not saying." Darius asked.

"You are just speculating. Stop it. We just need to eat and settle down that's all." Amy said trying to cover the issue.

"Babe are you ok? You look flushed?" Erik asked Amiyah.

"I'm fine. Can we just eat and get things going so they can go?" Amiyah asked Erik.

"Baby what's wrong? We didn't get to talk with your parents and my parents like we said. Is there something I need to know?" Erik asked.
