After changing my clothes I came back in the living room where Erik and Aaron was. They was looking at each other with so much tension.
I came in and started joking around so I can break the ice some.
"You happy now? I got more clothes if you don't approve this one too massaw." Amiyah said talking like a slave.
"Man shut that shit. You barely had on clothes. You don't know this cat like that to be walking around with nothing on. And you know me." Aaron said.
"Yeah Yeah. I know you but enough about that. Let's have this little talk."
"I'm gain. So who are you homie?"
"Like I said before my name is Erik Jones. I'm 25 years old and I own my own business."
"What kind of business?" Aaron asked with a straight face.
"I'm a lawyer." He said stern.
"Damn. You making big money then huh?"
"You can say that."
"What makes you want to talk to my sister?"
"Well when I came in to get my dreads cut off and I saw her it was like love at first sight for me. She is different from the other women that I've dated."
"Oh? And how is that?" Aaron asked crossing his arms across his chest."
"Well. She just has this spark about her. She handles herself with class and I love that shit."
"You ain't no woman beater are you?"
"Hell nah. Any man that hit a woman is a pussy. And I'm most definitely not that." Erik said looking into Amiyah's eyes.
"Hmm. Who is your people?"
"The Joneses. I want to let Amiyah meet them soon. I mean when she ready to."
"I'll love to meet them. It's whenever for me." Amiyah blurted in.
"You stay of this Amiyah. I'm talking to the man right now." Aaron said.
"It's ok. I really want her to meet my family. I don't know but I feel she's the one for me."
Aaron looked at him and then at his sister.
"Hmm. Well check this can I holler at you for a second Sis?"
"Sure wassup?" Amiyah said.
"Nah. Alone." He said eyeing her room.
They excused themselves and walked in Amiyah room and closed the door.
"Wassup A? You sound like you skeptical about Erik."
"I mean he seems like he's a cool cat but I just want to make for sure you know what you doing here? I mean are you gonna tell this man about your transition?" Aaron asked concerned.
"I am. Don't worry. I mean we ain't serious yet. So I didn't feel the need to tell him yet."
"Amiyah come on. I can see how that dude look at you. He's most definitely serious. And he ain't playing at all. I don't know about you but if I was dating someone and they withheld that kind of information from me I would be pissed."
