I sped home like someone was chasing me. I didn't know how to tell Erik that I once was a man. I don't think he would accept me if I told him. Maybe I should break it off with him. That way I can't hurt him with the news. I love him so much but I just don't want us to be over because of my past. I should have told him in the beginning. That way I would not have been emotionally tied to him if he didn't want to talk to me at all. Now everything is a mess.
I pulled up in my driveway. I parked wild and cut the car off. Getting out as the tears fell down my face I hurried to the door and unlocked it. The alarm went off. I turned it off and put my things on the counter. I went and sat in the living room and just cried my eyes out. I couldn't believe this was happening to me like this. I don't know what all my mom said but I do know she will not give me up to Erik. I need to call her and see what was said.
Amiyah pulled her cell out and called her mom. The phone didn't ring long and her mom answered.
"Hey baby. Are you ok?" Renee asked her concerned.
"Mama I'm so hurt right now. Erik said he talked to you. And that you told him that we should talk about my past." Amiyah said as the tears continued to flow and her voice cracked.
"Yes baby I did. Your father is determined to tell him your truth. I had to hang the phone up so he didn't hear your father go on and on about you being his son and not his daughter. Baby why didn't you tell that man in the beginning. You never know how things work out." Renee explains to her daughter out of love.
"Mama you know I want to tell him. But I'm afraid if he knew he will leave me." Amiyah confessed.
"And I understand that baby. But if you really love him you got to tell him the truth. You got be totally honest with him. He can feel some type of way about this. Some people don't and some people do. And you know I don't like when someone lie. Or don't tell the full truth. You have got to tell him before he hears it from someone other than you. And baby I feel that will hurt the most." Renee told her daughter.
"Yes mama I know. After we got together today and he said what he said I couldn't do nothing but cry. So I left him there and came home." Amiyah said.
"Baby you got to stop running from your truth. If he truly loves you like he say he may just accept you for who you are." Renee said hoping she will hear her out.
"I understand mama. I just got to do this in my own way and my own time." Amiyah said.
"Ok handle it like you feel. But remember the truth shall make you free." Renee said to her daughter.
"Thank you mama." Amiyah replies.
"No problem baby. I love you and I accept you for what and who you are. I got your back. So if you need me to be there when you tell him I can do that for you too." Renee said.
"Thank you mama. That will mean a lot to me. And I love you so so much for being by my side since the beginning. I know dad will never accept me but at least you and A do." Amiyah said calming down.
"Anytime baby. No matter if you are a woman or a man you are my child. And I love you. And I will always have your back. You hear me?" Renee said sternly to Amiyah.
"Yes mama I hear you. I just wanted to call and see what was said and update you on what was going on." Amiyah said in a soft voice.
"Keep me updated and remember I love you no matter what." Renee said to her daughter in a passionate way.
"Thank you again mama. I'll call you later." Amiyah said.
"Ok baby. Talk to you later." Renee said as she hung up the phone.
Amiyah sat there for a minute and thought about all that was said and done. She really wanted to tell Erik the truth. But she was so scared to how he would have acted to her. Amiyah got up and walked down the hall to her brothers room. She knocked on the door and waited for him to respond to her. Aaron opened the door and looked her in the face. He saw the teary eyes and hurt in her face. He opened the door and let her in.
"What happened?" Aaron asked her.
"Daddy almost told Erik what happened with me and my past. Mama talked to him and told him I needed to explain my past to him. She hung the phone up before daddy could expose me. A this shit is getting dangerous." Amiyah said as she sat on the bed next to her brother.
"I told you you need to tell that man the truth. Sis this can only go down from here. Ain't no going up until he knows the truth. You got to tell him. Do you want me to do it and you be in the room?" Aaron asked her.
"No I don't want that. I told mama I want to tell him in my own time and way." Amiyah told her brother.
"And when will that be? When you get married? When he wants kids?" Aaron asked.
"Don't do that. I'm gonna tell him. I just need a little more time." Amiyah said.
"For what? There is nothing else to do but tell him. I'm warning you. You better tell him soon. We can't hold dad back forever." Aaron said.
She still don't want to tell him!!!!
