Both of us went to grab some lunch first before proceeding to go to the furniture shop. We ordered our food and proceeded to chat until our food arrives. Despite us living under the same roofs, neither of us have the time to have some talk with each other.
"From what I heard from my mom, you're the youngest in your family" I said to her
"Yes, and ??" she tilted her head, a bit confused with the sudden topic
"Must've been nice to have siblings. I'm sure you were loved a lot by your parents since you're the youngest" I chuckled but I could hear her laughing awkwardly
"Yeah, it's nice to have siblings. I treasure them a lot" said Sophia with a smile
"You're right on that last part but... It was too much if you ask me" said Sophia as she doesn't seem to be happy. She seemed quiet upset
"Hey, is something wrong ?" I asked, definitely concerned
"No no. Nothing's wrong" she replied with a smile
"Though... I just wished for more freedom in my own life. But who am I to complain. They're just worried about me" said Sophia with a sad smile forming onto her lips
That got me a bit worried though. I mean if she's upset about the marriage, I understood it cause I was kind of against it at first. But I feel like there's something else that she's upset with
"Hey, you can tell me if something's wrong you know ??" I held her hand
"Nothing's wrong, I can promise you that. It's just something personal and I don't think I'd want to talk about it for now" said Sophia, trying to reassure me
"Is it about the marriage ?" I asked, wondering if she's upset about it
"Not really. I'm quiet happy with it" she chuckled
"Then what ?" I asked
"Something else. Something I wish to keep everything quiet for now. When the time's right and when I really am fully opening up to you, I'll tell you. I promise" she placed her hand on top of mine
"Let's not worry about this. It's not important" she chuckled
"After all, we've just known each other. It's better if we make sure everything's stable first" said Sophia
"If you say so" I let out a sigh
I hope everything's fine with her though and I really wished to know a lot more about her. But I understood why. We're still warming up to each other and it's better if we start getting more personal when everything feels right.
"Sophia, do you really have no interest in dating ??" I asked her
"You could say that ? I guess that's why you married me instead of my sister" she chuckled
"Either way, I'm happy at least" said Sophia with a smile
"That makes me feel like cheater" I chuckled quite bitterly
"Why would you ?" she asked
"I mean I'm dating another girl when I'm already married. I should've broke up with her right ?" I sighed
"You don't need to" she laughed
"I never mind anyways. We've made an agreement after all. I have no rights to get between your relationship too" said Sophia
Honestly, she's really open minded with this
"I've had experiences and what you're doing is not really cheating for me since all of this are just arranged marriage. Our feelings weren't mutual so I wouldn't really call ourselves as couples. But since it have happened, all we have to do is take responsibility of each other" she explained
Experiences ???
Was she cheated on for a lot of times ???
"Is that why you've given up on dating ?" I asked
"Maybe yes, maybe no" she chuckled
"But you can say, it's because of someone" said Sophia with a sigh
Our drinks have arrived and so does our food not so long after we stopped talking earlier. We decided to eat first since neither of us have eaten lunch.
Sophia isn't the type to talk during eating so I'm a bit scared to start a conversation with her at this time.
Time passed by and both of us have finished eating. It's past lunchtime, but I've notified my secretary about it and he was fine with taking over for a bit.
"Josh" she called out
"Yes ?" I turned to her
"I know this is out of nowhere but, just be careful around Ella will you ??" she suddenly warned me
"For... What ???" I asked, wanting to know for that sudden warning
"Just a warning. I've had bad experiences because of her, but I can't specifically tell you what. So I want you to be careful" said Sophia
That got me curious.
"Why aren't you telling me though ??" I asked, sensing something's fishy
"Because it'll risk a lot of things. Slowly you'd see. Just be careful. She may be someone you wouldn't expect she is" said Sophia
With that said, maybe I should listen to her. I mean sure I've known Ella from highschool and she coincidentally work in the same workplace as I do, but I don't really know her personally. Sophia seems to know more about her, so maybe I should listen to her ?
I know I should listen to Ella since I LITERALLY just knew Sophia, but Sophia seems to have a better reasoning than her so I'm gonna side with Sophia first.

I don't really want to get detailed about this so I tried to minimise any informations about her to be honest. I'm afraid he might doubt me. After all, it's his girlfriend and she has probably deceived him.
Honestly, I wonder if he'd actually fall for me. I'm just a boring type of person. I mean that's probably why all of the guys I've dated would ALWAYS be with Ella later on for god knows why. Like does this girl stalk me or what ?
The amount of hate she have for me is unbelievable for sure.
But this time, the tables have turned I guess ? Her boyfriend married me. Which is kind of funny to be honest. But I doubt that I'd get the happy ending I want. My plan of making him turn his back upon her would either backfire or succeed.
That girl's manipulative as HELL. It'll be a challenge for me too. I just hope I'm able to help him and would consider him as someone I'd spend my whole life with. I don't know why, but I just hope that's the case.
After all, there must be a reason why they set us up. If we can help each other out in our lives, maybe that's what we'd call fate. To be honest, I wouldn't mind if I fall in love with him. He's a great guy. Sure we've just got to know each other, but I feel like I can put my trust in him after each day passes.
It just shows how caring he is towards me and I'm actually happy about that. Though... I wonder how long this'll last.
I guess... We have to find that out.
