"Sophia" Joshua called out

"Yes ?" I responded as I lifted my head from his shoulder to look at him

"Do you maybe, know the boys ??" he asked

Oh sh-

"What's with the sudden question ?" I asked

"They were trying their hardest to lie in front of me and Jeonghan" he chuckled

"I'm sure there's a reason why but I just want you to be honest" said Joshua

I let out of a sigh

"Yeah. We knew each other back in highschool" I said as I leaned my head against his shoulder again

"Gosh, I never knew we came to the same highschool" he chuckled

"I was surprised too. I never heard about you back in highschool" I said to him

"Maybe I've already graduated at that time" he replied

"Yeah. Maybe" I said shortly

"You were really glancing at Jihoon over and over. Do you like him ?" he asked

I laughed softly

"Nah. We're just really close" I said as I ended up reminiscing the time when we were dating. It was by far the sweetest relationship I've ever been in

"Jihoon must be really fond of you too" said Joshua as he leaned his head against mine

"Yeah... Really fond of me..." I chuckled

"Does he knows about our marriage ??" he asked

"Would you be mad if I tell you everything ???" I asked

"I wouldn't. They're my besties too after all" said Joshua

"Soonyoung, Jihoon and Hansol already know about it. That night when I told you I was going by my friends' house, it was theirs. I told them about it" I confessed

"Ah, those three already knew" he laughed

"No wonder why they didn't question anything like how Seokmin and Seungkwan were going to" he added as he couldn't stop laughing

His voice is attractive...

"Are you going to tell Jeonghan ssi about it ??" I asked

"Well, I would have to when I could. After all, we're the closest in our circle" he replied

"Yeah... That makes sense" I closed my eyes

That's when I have the urge to ask him something about Ella

"Josh" I called him

"Yes ?" he responded

"Why are you dating Ella now ?" I asked

"If you wanna tell me that is" I added

"Well... I've liked Ella since highschool and we coincidentally work at the same place and even department. I really wasn't expecting to even date her now" he laughed

Poor you.

That girl's gonna stab you in the back Joshua...

"Ah... I see." I said shortly. I pitied him. Honestly that girl doesn't deserve you Joshua.

"What about you. Why aren't you dating anyone ?" he asked

"Eh... It's a long story" I replied, recalling every bitter memories I've had throughout the years of dating the wrong guy.

Toxic. Cheater.

Main points of the guys I've dated before. Jihoon is an exception, he was such a sweet and lovely guy. We broke up only because we wanted to stay as friends and to tell the truth, I actually still have a slight crush on him.

"Bad experiences ?" he asked

"Yeah, but I don't wanna get into it" I replied.

He hummed in response. He understood and didn't want to question anything about it since he is well aware that neither of us are trusting each other that much.

It was then quiet between both of us and I was actually dozing off slowly. I'm really tired after all, but he said we'd be eating outside for tonight, so I guess I should get ready now.

"Josh, we should get ready now. After all, we're eating dinner outside today" I said to him

"Oh lord, I totally forgot" he lifted his head off of mine and I lifted mine off of his shoulder

"I'd probably take a lot of time since I gotta relax a bit. If you don't mind that is" I said to him as I did some stretching

"Of course I don't" he smiled

"Take your time" he added

I got off the couch and went straight to my bedroom.

When she left, I leaned my head against the couch.

So we've actually went to the same highschool huh ?? I wonder what was her relationship with Jihoon. The way she kept on glancing at him and what she said earlier. It felt different.

I mean, if she likes him I wouldn't mind though. Jihoon's a great guy and if they knew each other well then wouldn't that be a good news ?? I'd be happy for both of them for sure. But...

It somehow made my heart feel heavy just by thinking about it...

Why ? Is it because we've sealed our vows already ? But does it really mean anything if we don't even see each other in that way ?

I let out of a sigh and got off the couch

I gotta get ready too since I'd be driving us there and I was the one who have offered to eat outside after all. It's... Also my duty to make sure she rests well. I am her boss and husband.

I went straight to my room to get ready for dinner.

After I've finished taking a bath and changed into something simple for dinner, I went downstairs to wait for Sophia. She said it herself she'd take long so it's better if I take a nap for a bit. I gotta rest my body before driving.

After what felt like 20 minutes have passed, I changed into something simple since we're only eating dinner. Neither of us like a fancy dinner. We just like something that's easygoing and you know, normal.

I grabbed my phone and wallet and head downstairs. I then saw Joshua on the couch. Did he waited for a long time,,,,

"Josh, I'm ready to go now" I said as I approached him. There was no answer coming from him

I walked in front of him to see that he's napping. Gosh, he must've been tired from working today. He also had to show me around despite being busy earlier... I feel bad now...

Feeling as tired as I am now, I head to the kitchen to prepare dinner. I couldn't bring myself to wake him up, he looked really tired and he really deserve a well-rested night at least.
