Just like that, the day ended. I woke up the next morning due to my alarm going off. I looked at the time and it's 8 AM. I wonder if she's awake right now. Gonna check up on her

I got off of my bed and head to her room. I entered it since there wasn't any response when I knocked on it. She's still sleeping. I guess she's just exhausted from what happened last night. I mean, she cried a lot after all so she must be really tired.

I should probably buy some breakfast outside. It's the least I can do for her now.

I left the apartment and head to the closest cafe there is and ordered some pancakes and waffles for both of us. After receiving what I ordered, which took around 20 minutes, I head back to the apartment.

I placed the food on the table as I went into her room to wake her up. She groaned

"Wake up wake up. It's time for breakfast" I said to her softly

"I'm tireddddd...." she whined, probably half asleep

"You can sleep again after eating. Come on, get up" I said to her

She groaned before getting up and I could see her eyes are still swollen from yesterday. She literally cried three times yesterday so I can't blame her for that. She took up a lot of courage to tell me that and I'm proud of her for telling me that.

"Do you want me to carry you out of your room ??? You doesn't seem to have that much of energy" I offered.

She seemed like she was going to reject this offer of mine, but she just nodded. She's probably having a terrible headache. I mean, just by the look of it she seemed to have one. I might be wrong but who knows

I crouched down, signalling her to get onto my back. Not that long after that, I felt the weight behind me and a pair of arms wrapping around my neck. She seemed frail at the moment.

I picked up her legs as I head out to the dining table, putting her down on the chair. I grabbed a glass of water for her from the kitchen and went back to her shortly after. I gave it to her and it took her a while to gulp it down slowly

She let out of a sigh as she stared onto the food that I bought earlier

"What's wrong ?" I asked before settling down facing her

"I have no appetite...." she frowned

"But you have to eat you know ?? We can't go on with our day if your stomach's empty" I said to her

"I don't know... I just felt like I'm ruining everything for us now..." she looked down

I let out a sigh as I got up from my seat to her. I then crouched down on her level as I pat her head softly

"Sweetie, you're not ruining anything for us. It's normal to have your trauma getting triggered. It's normal to be scared. It's normal to show real emotions. What's abnormal is YOU being like this" I said to her as I caresses her cheek

"Sophia, you have always told me not to dwell on the past and I want you to do the same. I know it's hard, it's traumatizing, but how long are you going to be like this ?" I asked

"As long as I am alive, I won't let anything bad happen to you understand ?" I said, trying to reassure her

"You trust me don't you ?" I asked

She pursed her lips as she nodded slowly

"Even if I'm not around, Jihoon would always be there. You know that don't you ?" I said to her and she nodded again

You still loves him dearly don't you...? Even if you don't trust me, you trust him.

"So please, don't let that scum get to you. I won't let him do ANYTHING to you. And that's my promise to you" I said to her

She sobbed softly as she hugged me

"Thank you Joshua... Thank you so much... I seriously owe you A LOT..." she ended up crying again

I pat her back softly, reassuring her everything would be alright. As long as I'm alive, I won't let anything happens to you.

"Now now, you should eat something to fill up your stomach. You need some energy" I said to her as I pat her head

"Can you get me another glass of water ?" she requested

"Of course I could sweetie" I said to her with a smile as I got up, taking her glass earlier to the kitchen to refill the water

Who would've thought... I'd actually fall for her. That scum. I really wish I could report him but I don't think Sophia would want that. She doesn't like it when things get out of hand and I don't want that to stress her more. She have went through a lot and I am genuinely worried about this.

Maybe I should just.... Ask her to pursue something she really wants ??? At least she wouldn't be under that much of stress doing something that she loves and since we're married, my words are way more important than her mother's now. I'll probably have a talk with her about that in another time. If I ask her this out of the blue she might have a mental breakdown at this point.

I handed the glass of water to her as she gulped it down slowly, catching her breath from crying earlier.

She finally started to eat and I was eating as well. From the look of it, I don't think we'd be going out anytime soon. Not that I mind anyways. As long as she'd feel better, I'm fine with it. After all, I'm also tired from the 10 hours flight yesterday so I'm gonna rest as long as I could.

After we've finished eating, we cleaned up and decided to chat for a bit, just to forget everything that had happened. She seemed to feel better than earlier so that's a good sign

She said that she'd show me around this evening since she just needs some time to regain her normal self for a while. Of course I don't mind about it. After all, her health, both physical and mental are way more important than anything

As long as she'd feel a lot better, I'd gladly wait as long as I could for her.
