The steel platform felt cold under her exposed skin. She laid there staring up into nothingness all strength in her body drained along with her memories. It was as if an unseen force was keeping her arms and legs pinned, impossible for her to move. In a painful attempt, she twisted her head to the side finding the room she was in was void of the torturing machine and equipment and replaced with only the steel bed she lay on. They must have moved her to the recovery room. She closed her eyes, the pain growing in her abdomen-the large dosage of liquid they had pumped into her system that morning was taking effect and she could feel the juice spreading like wildfire through every inch of her veins. The horrific memories of the morning's testing wouldn't stop haunting her-flashes of needles being piercing her soft skin to the growing grin on someones face to the taste of blood trickling down the corner of her mouth. She shot open her eyes refusing to let the hallucinations get to her head. Instead she shifted her eyes downwards noticing the stripped bloodstained pieces of clothing she was forced to wear. Like her clothes, the Client had stripped everything from her. Her family, her dignity and even her will to live. She was stripped from ever having the possibility of a normal life-no parents, no relatives, no friends-she was a wanderer, a slave and an evil man's play toy to be experimented on.

Her weak eyes threatened to close once again and she didn't have the strength to refuse, this time gunfire shot all around her and it wasn't until she darted her lids open again that she realized they were coming from outside the door. In a vain attempt she pushed through the pain, leaning on one arm propping herself up only to fall back down onto the hard platform. The shots were making their way closer to her room and she dared to believe it was just another hallucination. The sounds of obscure shouting and cries of pain reverberated off the walls of her prison, laser fire bouncing all around. Then there was complete silence. Her head turned to the door, heart beating rapidly as unknown footsteps approached and she held her breath. There was a single shot aimed at the lock immediately busting it open. A man covered in head to toe armor busted through the heavy door with the use of his boot and spotting her on the platform. He didn't hesitate and rushed over to her extending out a gloved hand.

"Take my hand, I'm going to get you out of here," he was breathing heavily through his helmet. "Can you stand?"

She shook her head and he immediately leaned in wrapping an arm around her waist while the other one snaked around her head, propping her up with ease. His grip was firm but gentle as he shifted her from a sitting position to standing both her feet on the ground. He gave her a moment to adjust then without a chance for her to question his intentions he half dragged her to the door until she felt comfortable to move on her own.

She followed him down the adjoining halls trying to keep up with his speed and entered the storeroom ducking behind a stack of crates as two Stormtroopers were approaching. Mando pulled her down with him as she was slower than him, hoping the trooper hadn't spotted her. He quietly and slowly pulled out a small pistol beneath his belt, handing it to the girl. Then, gestured for her to be ready and signaled towards the closest trooper. With a sideways glare she nodded her head as if she understood anything he was trying to communicate. It was hard when he wore a helmet covering his facial expressions and stayed perfectly silent the only amount of movement shown through his gloved hands. She glanced down at the pistol in her hands and was surprised the armored man trusted her enough with one of his weapons, seeing how easily she could just pop a bullet in his unsuspecting turned back. The Mandalorian made his way from their hiding spot, crawling to the other side of the room but in the process knocked into one of the loose crates and causing the Stormtroopers to halt at attention. They began to fire at the crates a round of laser fire shooting dangerously close to the pair. Mando ducked lower avoiding their line of fire and propped his back against the stacked crates. Then at the right moment he popped up blaster raised and took out the first trooper, their body crashing to the floor. He aimed for the second one whose blaster was trained on him, but he was already falling nimbly to the ground. Mando cocked his head around to find the girl, eyes squeezed shut, a smoking pistol between outstretched arms.
