Layla's pov
Kyle and I each bought our presents for the secret Santa event for the Christmas party and headed home after playing at an arcade and talking.

He was like a breath of fresh air, I liked that about him. He was spontaneous and fun and I felt like he listened when I had an issue.

I arrived home and chose out my outfit for tomorrow's Christmas party.

For my secret Santa person I had gotten none other than Cameron. And when I found out, I lost it. I mean it'd be so awkward when I handed it to him, we aren't talking right now and I'd feel weird.

Not to mention, even though I knew him pretty well I still couldn't figure out what he'd want.

Kyle and I spent too much time searching for presents. And so I ended up buying a chic silver chain bracelet for him. I had a passing thought that it'd look nice with his tattoos.

I'd never tell him that though. I have to focus on not liking him anymore.

I got ready for bed and lied down while staring aimlessly at my white ceiling.

"You need to stop thinking about him." I mumbled to myself as a reply crossed my mind, but he's always on my mind so how am I supposed to do that?

I closed my eyes and tried to think of anything to stop me thinking about him.

I woke up to the sight of pretty white snow outside and I was pretty surprised to see the sight. After all, it never snows in Cali. I guess I had climate change to thank for that even though climate change isn't good.

I removed the warm duvet cover from my body and got off my bed and into the washroom. I greeted my reflection in the mirror and yawned.

Today was obviously a day off and I could relax until the party which was at 5:30.

I showered and wore my sweats before heading downstairs to see Adam up already along with my parents who were eating breakfast.

"Morning mama, morning baba." I said with a smile before placing a kiss on each of their cheeks.

I took a seat and started to eat the pancakes on my plate.

"Oh yeah I didn't ask you, who do you have for secret Santa?" Adam asked and I replied nonchalantly "Cameron. How about you?"

"Nana. She dragged me all over the place with Kai and both of them made me buy things they wanted. I ended up getting nana a necklace and a male version of it for kai even though I didn't have him as my person."

"How cute. Did you have fun?" I asked knowing the answer, because even though Kai and nana were clingy, I knew he liked their company.

"I thought nana would be with you at first and Kai was going to help me look for something for her but she was already there waiting and grabbed both of us and dragged us to every store. Then the two of them started to argue and each of them pulled me in a different direction. So yeah, it was fun." He said smiling and I was happy that we had such friends.

"Did you go with Kyle?" He asked and I nodded while chewing my pancake.

"Yeah, we spent hours looking for presents, he kept being indecisive and I had no idea what to buy for Cameron that he already didn't have." I spoke once swallowing the pancake bite in my mouth.

I soon got up to wash my plates before sitting in the living room and turning the tv on. Adam followed shortly after and jumped on the couch.

I hit him "you idiot, you almost trampled me." He laughed and grabbed the remote.
