Cameron's pov
Once the party was over that meant my free time was too. I was getting bombarded with boxing practice and matches I had scheduled. In other words according to Dan, that meant strictly no fucking around.
Obviously I never listened and did what I felt like it.
That's why when I was practicing like crazy and throwing punches at the lifeless punching bag I decided to stop. Especially after seeing that fucker Jacob post a picture of him and Layla smiling like they were a couple.
The whole concept of them together pissed me off but I had no right to tell her who she can be friends with.
So all I could do was be annoyed while stare at the picture.
However, once the clock struck 11 I drove over to Jacob's place.
I said I wouldn't but I couldn't stand it after that. I knew he was purposely pissing me off, I mean he tagged me in the caption. If that wasn't a declaration of war then I didn't know what was.
The way to his house was still embedded in my mind no matter how many times I wanted to erase such useless information. Sure, we were related but I never went over to his house at least not anymore. My aunt and uncle usually visited my house and that's when I saw them, so there was no reason for me to go to his house.
I gripped the steering wheel hard and finally made my way to his gated home. I clicked on the button and the butler answered asking who it was. "it's Cameron." I simply said, cutting him off and he seemed surprised to hear it was me. "Oh, sir I never expected you to be her-"
"Open the gate." I cut him off again and he cleared his throat and said "of course. Apologies." The large black gates then opened and I drove inside, towards their house which looked the same as a couple years ago.
Memories flooded my mind of when we actually got along and even though I hated him. I couldn't help but miss the friendship we once had.
I parked my car in front of their entrance and got out and made my way to the door before it opened up, revealing an old bit familiar man. It was Edgar, the head butler. He gave a warm smile and welcomed me inside. I walked in and asked where jacob was. "Jacob is in his room, would you like me to call him for you Mr. Brooks?"
I sighed but nodded, "yeah, tell him to get his ass over here."
Edgar walked up the long stairs and into Jacob's room. At first it was quiet until I heard his mocking loud voice echo throughout the mansion. "my favorite cousin! Cam, what brings you here?" He asked innocently with a grin.
"Get your ass over here." I demanded and he raised his hands up in a surrendering manner with an amused smile "no need to get so demanding. I'm coming."
He walked down the stairs with a robe on and an annoying smirk.
Once he reached the ground and made his way over, I asked "why'd you tag me?"
He smiled annoyingly and shrugged "why do you think I did that? Personally, I think it's up to each persons interpretation."
His persona and attitude just tempted me to choke him but I resisted the urge to and instead just clenched my jaw.
"Stop hanging around her if you're just gonna fuck around." I warned and he smiled amused "why does it matter? Both you and I fuck around with girls like it's nothing all the time. She's no different. If she falls for me then that's really not my fault. Isn't that what you's usually say to girls? That it's not your fault?" The nuances of his words had a clear message and that was to piss me off at any cost. And like an idiot, I let it get to me.
