Cameron's pov
It was already time. My fight approached quickly and before I knew it, I had 2 days left until my match but my flight was today.

I grabbed my bag and tossed it in the car along with Dan, Ray and Emmanuel. I sat down next to ray in the back seat while complaining "you two talk about how busy you guys are but still have time to come to my fight that's in another country?"

Ray smiled "it's going to be my first time at one of your fights as a friend of yours so I had to come."

"Who said we're friends." I said and he complained that I wasn't being an asshole.

Meanwhile, manny just lit up a cigarette and drew a puff before letting it out the cold winter air through the window. "I felt like coming, why is it an issue. I'm your boss you brat."

"Yeah, yeah. Now shut the window, for fucks sake it's winter." I retorted and he chuckled while drawing one more puff and tossing the cigarette out the window before raising the window up.

I looked out to see the trees all remain dead while the bright lights of Christmas trees and department stores lit up the streets.

I had already spent another winter without her here. I gave a light sigh and decided to watch Ryerson's fights again until we reached the airport-which didn't take too long.

After spending hours on the plane next to ray I officially felt like killing him. I didn't know how people spent a whole day with him, he was so draining.

"Shut up." I glared and he gave me his same smile, "no."

"Dan switch seats with him, I can't sit next to him any longer or else I'll actually kill him." I complained and Dan chuckled "we can't move seats, we're almost there. Just bear with it."

"Whatever." I mumbled and turned to face the window.

We were landing soon, this was it. Paris. The city of romance.

After another dreading 15 minutes next to Ray, the plane finally landed and I didn't have to sit next to that idiot any longer. He was so childish, and I couldn't deal with his shit anymore.

We got into a cab after going through security and arrived at our hotel.

I showered and changed before leaving the hotel room. It was around midnight but there was no way I'd sleep since it was morning in Los Angeles right now.

"I'm heading out for a bit." I yelled out before leaving the room to hear Dan yell back "don't stay out too late, your match is in a day."

I didn't reply since I was too lazy plus I'm pretty sure he knows I heard him.

I pushed the glass doors open and was welcomed by the freezing air of winter. "It's colder here than in cali geez." I blew onto my fingers to keep them warm and went out, listening to the snow crunching beneath my feet after every step.

I walked down the lonely sidewalk which was only lit by the dim street lights. As I continued the dark road, I lit a cigarette and let it rest between my lips.

While I continued to keep walking aimlessly, with no particular destination in mind. I was led to a busy downtown part of the city and saw the contrast between the dark road I walked on compared to this one which was bright and lit up by neon signs and electric billboards.

I looked to my right to see a particular picture of a pretty girl.

Layla.

Her golden eyes sparkled under the suns rays while she wore a floppy straw hat and a white floral dress in long grass with a blinding smile. Next to her was jacob who wore summer clothing and smiled brightly as well. They suited each other even though I hated to admit it. I bet they've become closer, truthfully, I was pretty jealous. He's spent these past 2 years next to her and he probably knows her more than I do.
