Layla's pov
It's our third day at the mountain resort. Today we were going to ski and snowboard.Cameron was spending his time doing random crap as usual and got into trouble and got yelled at every couple of minutes.
Replying with "I'm having fun sir." As his excuse to do crazy stupid stuff. His friends backing him up and doing the same. Including my idiotic brother.
I rolled my eyes and fixed my skis, before walking to the ski lift with the girls. I was excited to ski up on the high mountain and prove Cameron wrong. As we got higher and higher into the sky I looked down and saw Cameron trying to throw snowballs at the lift I was in.
"You dumbass, stop before I jump down and kill you." I yelled and he smiled mischievously "Do it. Jump down or I won't stop."
Nana held my arm and shook her head "we're up too high, don't jump you'll hurt yourself." I looked back down and saw him grinning.
"I need to kill that monkey." I said to her and she looked at me like I was insane. "No-Of course you're going to jump. You and that crazy monkey are ridiculous." She sighed and shook her head in disbelief.
I smiled cheekily, and took off the skis and threw them onto the ground before looking down, I could make the jump.
I jumped down and subconsciously closed my eyes out of fear. I was pretty high up like nana said. The girls all screamed as I jumped and I could see Mr. smiths eyes widen so wide they looked unnatural as if they'd pop out of their sockets.
I clenched my fists and felt myself keep falling, getting ready for the hard impact I'd soon experience. But it never came, instead, I felt myself securely land on someone comfortable. I opened one eye hesitantly and saw a grinning amused face with an exposed cute dimple.
"what are you? An angel? Falling out of the sky like that." He laughed and I hit his chest. "Ow, did you really think I'd let you fall from that high of a ski lift. I knew you'd end up jumping so I prepared myself to catch you."
"You crazy idiot, you purposely made me jump. I could've stayed on there and gone skiing. Now I'm here stuck with you." I complained and he smiled proudly "that doesn't sound so bad." I hit him again and complained "put me down. It's embarrassing being held."
He laughed and carefully placed me on the ground where Mr. smith stomped towards us and I swore at Cameron, readying myself for the lecture we'd soon receive.
"You two are the craziest kids I've ever seen in my life. Who the hell jumps off a ski lift Layla?! I thought you were going to kill yourself." A hand went up to his temple to slightly massage it and you could see a vein appearing on his neck and forehead from how stressed he was;I thought he'd pop a blood vessel from how stressed he looked.
"I'm sorry sir, it won't happen again. Cameron purposely bothered me so that I'd jump off." I said and Cameron replied "that's not true. I didn't do anything."
"Yes you did you liar."
"No I didn't. You're the liar." Cameron said and Mr. smith took off his glasses and sternly told both of us to shut up. We quickly shut our mouths. "That's it, you two will kill me within the next week if you don't manage to get along. Therefore, you two can sit next to each other on the bus on the way home."
Both of us started to complain and bicker and he yelled "enough! It's final, no switching unless you want detention now get along you married couple. And please, for the love of god, stop doing crazy stupid shit. I'm going to die."
We both looked at each other disgusted "I'd never marry him." I said and Cameron said the same thing as Mr. smith ignored us and walked back to the other teacher while murmuring "of course that's all they took from my scolding."
