A/N: I know that adding specifically named music/songs/bands/etc. into stories can date them and sometimes take away from the 'fantasy of the story' and all that, but I don't care, 👏🏻 so this particular chapter will have two songs mentioned, both for different reasons. One, because it speaks to me about Bakugou's situation, and the other because it won't get tf out of my head and I think it'd be hot to see him drum to it 🤷🏻♀️ lol, so, sue me.
When the songs are brought up in the chapter, it'll name them so you can look them up because it might be a good idea to play them while you read, if you're able.
BUT 👏🏻 the songs are meant to be started at the sight of the music notes 🎶🥰 honestly, I based it off of my own reading pace, which is rather slow, but the lyrical sections are supposed to be read with the song. So I hope it works for everyone. If you can't listen during or don't know the songs by heart already, maybe just look them up n' listen to 'em first before reading that section, if you'd rather. ♥️
Please, if you're willing, remember to vote on each chapter if you're liking the story! It's the lil star that pops up at the bottom of the screen, just in case anyone didn't know! ♥️ it took me like ten fics before I realized how to do it 😬 but it helps tremendously with reaching more people if we can get the votes up ^-^ Thank you to all my new followers and everyone who is reading/voting/commenting, it makes writing this story so much more fun. I appreciate you all!
Now, let's see how the day goes for Kai 👀-
***
Kaida woke with a start to her blaring alarm, immediately ready to be out of bed the second her eyes snapped open as the anticipation for the day electrifyingly jolted through her veins, making waking up ridiculously easy, even though she'd realistically only had about five hours of sleep. First on the agenda and on her mind, though: training. Which was exactly what had her so completely jazzed to be awake. She hurried to get ready, really wanting to beat Bakugou to their usual spot for some reason, even though she normally arrived after he did. The thought of teasing him for being later than her, even if he were still on time, made her deviously giddy and it was all she could think about while she hurried to get ready.
There was no point in bothering with makeup, as she knew she'd sweat it all off, anyway, and she'd already showered twice the night before, so she quickly threw her hair up into a messy bun and stuck with just a light moisturizer containing a high SPF. Sun protection was necessary for her quirk's requirement for sunlight exposure. Her skin still smelled of Bakugou's body wash and she hoped that by the time she made it back home tonight, that her pillow might still smell like him too. Eyeing her reflection in the mirror of her vanity, her bangs perfectly framed her face, splitting down the middle, as her hair had gotten longer since she'd first met the group of heroes, and she blew them up and out of her face as she quickly decided on her appearance for the day.
How bizarrely different, her life was, nowadays; she pondered over the thought while finishing getting ready, her heart in her throat the entire time. After dressing into an easily breathable sports bra and leggings that were both stretchy and cute enough, in her opinion, a quick reminder halted her in her tracks before she almost rushed out the door; a brisk look through her clothes, to find Bakugou's hoodie, needed to happen. After several minutes of searching and having absolutely no idea where she'd put it or even when she'd worn it last, she easily gave up, hurrying to head out of her room, defeated yet, honestly unworried. After scarfing down a couple of protein bars that Bakugou had made her buy when they first started training, she grabbed her bag from the hook on the back of the front door before leaving her apartment to hurry and jet up to the roof to recharge her quirk for the day, before she left.
