The next morning, Damian didn't showed up for school, and any attempts to reach him remains fruitless as ever since last night.

Valeria is pissed at the blonde for making things somehow even worse than before. Maria refused to speak about what happened last night, and always changed the topic whenever they started talking about her silly, rage-inducing blonde friend.

"Hey, Maria." She lazily called, "Let's talk about Damian."

"Sorry, I need to focus on my piano."

"We're in chemistry-" Valeria almost flipped the table, before she finally turns around to face the readers with a very annoyed look. "Oh, for God sakes, get a load of this bitch."

Safe to say, she gave up trying pretty quickly.

Something has happened which clearly had strained their relationship to the point even Maria went super-dodgy about it. The blonde girl looked back at her phone and her private messages with Damian, which is still left unread since last night.

Not to mention the amount of missed calls....

Fuck it, she'll bring Ilya along after school and ask the dumb bastard herself. Right now, she's not in the mood to be nice.

"Watch it, four eyes." The tall blonde taunted at her newest victim. "Can't see where you're going? Need me to fix up that glasses for you?"

Whatever happens next, it ends up with her sitting legs-crossed in the principal office.

She only hoped that Damian was suffering out there. Or not. She couldn't make her mind up with the old hag's nagging filling her head. Urght.

In the end, Valeria was threatened with suspension from the principal if she were to get caught again pulling these 'childish' stunts.

If she were to get caught.

"Hey, fucko. Meet us after school."

She would not make the same mistakes twice.

Last night, Damian returned back to the mansion on the verge of breaking down before he finally reached his room. Which he then proceeds to seal with an uncharacteristically large amount of Blacklight veins.

Mercer figured that something had happened, but the older evolved decided to leave the blonde alone... for noe.

Then, the next morning, without a word, he left the mansion by early dawn. Although it wouldn't be too hard to locate him in Detroit with his apex viral sonar pulse, he had a feeling the blonde won't be giving any answers.

But if he won't come to him and ask him for help, he wouldn't bother to try to interfere with something which is clearly not his business from the first place.

Mind your own business, right? With that, Mercer decided to just drop the topic altogether and focus on his own life.

Time to toast some Garlic Bread while watching Fast and the Furious. That'll keep him busy.

The blonde had spent the entire night crying his eyes out on his bed, completely horrified at what he had almost done to his own friend.

And now, he's mindlessly walking down the streets of Detroit, hoping to clear his mind as he knows that his friends have to attend the school, lest they risk being marked absent.

But not for him, at this point, Damian doesn't cares, he's too scared to go there, as he knows that he will have to inavoidably face the dark-haired girl.
