Nora's Pov Great! Kenz met her biological mother. That means the future is closer than it seems. all thanks to my wanting to get to know my Dad. If only I listened to Kenzie in the future, I wouldn't be in this mess. Gridlock died. Cicada is early killing more and more metas and kenz met her biological mother. Great, can I not do anything right? If only future kenz was here...
Flash Forwards I'm currently waiting for Kenzie in my lab, to ask her about Dad since mom won't say much to me and I know dad must have had something to do with speedsters, or else I won't be like this. I heard her footsteps quickly coming down the hallway. " Nora, what was so important that I had to leave work immediately?" She stopped in the middle of the lab with her arms crossed. "Well, I want to know more about our Dad" Kenzie hasn't mentioned or talked about him since that day Mom and kenz had that fight that ruined their relationshipwithin minutes.

"Nora I think your mom told you all what you need to know, sorry but I can't." She turns to leave when I speak up about a topic that catches her attention. "So I have to travel back in time to meet him myself" she stopped and turned. "Nora when I said I would help you learn how to control your speed it also meant teaching you the rules to being a speedster. THE BIG RULE IS NO GOING BACK IN TIME FOR ANYTHING" "How am I supposed to learn when I don't how I got these powers in the place unless Dad had them" "Nora I'm doing this for your good, you don't need or want to know. Trust me. Well if you excuse me I have to head back to work but promise me you won't go back in time"
"I promise"
"Good I'll talk to you later' she walked out of my lab and boy she likes getting a point across. As I watched Kenzie leave, I fell back on what I'm about to do.
Flash Foward Over
"Nora!! Hey, are you listening to me" Kenzie snapped her fingers and caught me out of my daze?
"Yeah yeah I am. "
"It looked like you zoned out, a while back" kenz crossed her arms. "What no? I was listening. You said you had powers. So cool right?" I have to get out of here before she expects anything else. " hey I have to go run the city for our meta. See ya" I ran out of there and started thinking about how we are going to prevent Kenzie from leaving.
Kenzie's Pov Nora just ran out of here to go check on the city but I don't believe her. Something is going on with her and I'm going to find out what it is.
Third Pov Iris went to talk to Barry to keep him company since he's kinda stuck in there for a while. They managed to get on the topic of Kenzie and her interest in her biological mother.
" hey, has kenz ever brought up her biological mother to you," Barry asks Iris.
" Beth? Um no. Why has she asked you about her?" Bare nodded and Iris looked away for a moment then looked back. " what did she ask about?"
"It's weird, all of sudden she gets more interested in her songbook than usual, and then she starts asking about her."
"Do you think she wants to meet her or something?" Iris asked Barry
"I don't think so, she would just come out and say it if she did. We don't keep secrets like this from each other" Barry said but then realize how weird Kenzie was acting. She doesn't lie often but when she does it can be pretty obvious. " But kenz has been acting weird, she has been more distance lately"
"How bout we focus on this meta and getting you out of there without you falling through the ground. Then we deal with whatever is going on with kenz together" all of a sudden alarms are going off and iris rushed to the cortex to see what was going on with the team.
Kenz Pov
I decided to stay behind and write down what I know so far about my powers and my mom's side of the family factors in my songbook since no one reads that book. it will be safe there. Okay, let's start with the powers.
1. Healing and Mind Reading: symptoms > Dizzy spells > Had one already
2. They're Generational

That's all I know so far about the powers. I should call her up some time and learn more about these powers. I can't ask dad for help. He is busy with Nora and now Cicada. It's like theirs no time for me anymore. I just want my dad back. Like when we would sneak out and get ice cream, keeping it a secret from Mom. Even though I think she knew about it but just didn't say anything.
